Is everyone ignoring why I'm doing 10v10? Yeah, I'd like to do 8v8, don't get me wrong. But to be clear, you do know why I'm doing 10v10, right? People can read!?

Yes I do understand.

But also running 4 rangers and 2/3 cav on closed isn't realistic. Should have class limits or something.

Go all inf and cav and rek them?

Also I might not be getting the whole point here, but this isn't supposed to just be a "scrim", its supposed to keep the NA scene from being RIP. I'll agree that the more people you have the more trollish it gets, but thats partly player blame as well. Also, maybe it would be a good idea to do two different events.

Ex. Say Thursday you do your 10v10 and warm ups and idk the next day you do a scrim with 8v8. IMO you could have one of these events everyday, the scene has enough people for it.

Either way, the biggest problem I've seen in these warm-ups is player toxicity, both to guaccs drills and to other players even joining the server to watch.

well ofc it's gonna be toxic when you have badmins kicking people for wanting to spec. NA is definitely going to go down if people can't agree on anything and act like ****heads towards other players.

Then why not suggest/bring something to the table, I mean I agree with you people are and have always acted like **** to newer people. Its not everyone, but its still there. Also if you are talking about when you tried to join the event and were later kicked, I believe coming to teamspeak might have helped a bit.

About the earlier issue guacc said they changed the password so that's resolved. But the point is people should be free to join and watch without being kicked without even a warning, and you can't really expect people to want to come to an event which is no fun because of people who cry over stupid ****. Like really is it any fun when people are always arguing in ts over dumb crap and making it a saltfest?

The admin pass to the server was changed, so only the people that actually should have admin will now have it for the events. Hopefully no one will kick players from the server just because they don't like them; everyone is welcome to watch, but please join TeamSpeak if you want to participate in the practice.

Pretty much what Sj said here. Also guacc please put some consideration into what I said a page or so ago, it seems like your player base is torn in half with small details. This can be easily resolved, by a LOT of different ways and I think we should discuss those

10v10 is a pain, It creates a less serious atmosphere and usually ends with one team not trying in the end.

But I do understand where you are coming from, because it Is only a "practice" and no one wants to show up and then just get tossed to the bench.  It would help if more people would show up so we could organize two scrims at 8v8 but I dont think the event has had that many players show up yet.

This issue was resolved, in TS after the scrim, I feel it was made clear no one should be kick out of the scrim without being notified why, also they should actually do something wrong first before being kicked/banned from the practice.

I feel everyone who wants to watch/participate in the scrim should be aloud to do so, But If you are going to watch just let an admin know and then remain in spec, while watching I don't feel it necessary for them to enter ts but if you are going to participate in the scrim you MUST join the ts, preferably before the start of the scrim.

The whole idea of this was to make a mostly serious (as real as you can get) scrim environment.  An event that would allow vet players to practice on a server with a tournament based rule set, and allow newer players who want to maybe 'get their feet wet' in a scrim setting (or just try and learn some new tricks from more experienced players)

Kicking new players as they enter the server before they really do anything is really just being counter productive and continuing a unhealthy cycle of new players being just outcast,  with no real way to see what its like to be in the competitive warband scene.

Hopefully we have moved passed this little incident, the players who where kicked should feel free to attend the next event, just as long as people can act appropriately we can continue what imo has been a pretty successful event.

Suggestion:

If you're the person hosting an event that is supposed to be serious competitive training, don't troll.

Yo, I didn't know Fletcher switched to Oodle for calling, and since you were able to spawn and said that you were able to spawn in TS I assumed it was live. I re'd it at the end anyways, albeit confused and against my team's will . The **** at end was lighthearted and not meant to aggravate you so much, plus it was at the end of the event so I don't really see your point here.

Anyways, you can easily discuss this on Steam with me instead of trying to start a ****show on the forums.

That wasn't in response to you, Guacc; and I would happily discuss it on steam, but last I was on TeamSpeak, you chose to just repeat the same few words over and over again.

I'm all for having fun but there's a pretty fine line between having fun and not taking things seriously, and these were concerns brought up when the event was first proposed. If you want it to be non-serious battle practice, then you should make it more evident that that's what you want this event to be. If you want it to be serious you should be more authoritative about how you manage the event.
