[DISCLAIMER]

This mod has no affiliation with Xenoargh's mod, sadly I learned of his mod long after Blood & Steel 1870 was in full development. Sorry if this confuses any one.

Good luck on the project sir, Imperial Age was perfect, especially about the lore, you got me amazed with that, twice.
Ha, that always complaining Henri Laroux finally accomplished something worthy. Good.
But Vilincha... Nooo, why
A small script like triggering a civil war in Vaegir lands once again, even though they have the absolute power?

First off, we like to thank Parrot and Willhelm of the NW Blood and Iron and Anglo Zulu module for a lot of our resources, props to Fast Walrus and the Red Wars team for shared assets, UI and other ways of help. You guys are awesome.

This module is being more or less developed side by side with the Imperial Age module with Frenzied taking time out to help the Red Wars crew with something every now and then. A lot of cosmetic and model stuff between the games will be shared (Updated campaign map assets for both modules, B&S aside from a few uniques will use the same scenes as Imperial Age which are being worked on by onewildtexan) and a lot of new cosmetic player and NPC face stuff as well. A big thank you to the WFAS team as well for giving us permission to use some WFAS scene building and props to give our Eastern European nations a little more life. We even have Freelancer working with this build and in the future will try and back port it to Imperial Age when the heavy coding and work for this module is out of the way.

Currently in production as well is a set of new companions and some custom art for both modules loading and the in game information section UI.

This product will be a WIP for a while, it might not see light until the summer in a beta form. At the moment we have some vague ideas for future factions but for the time being we won't develop anything serious because it will add to our one sceners already large work schedule.

I'm trying to convince Frenzied to possibly make some last generation percussion cap pistols with the IA assets :p.

Also, putting this out there. I'm writing the stuff for companions and the back story of faction claimants but really I'm sick of staring at the text files for this sort of thing. We could do with somebody to take on the bulk of the Imperial Age dialogue and player talking stuff and tweak it to fit the updated setting a little more to the standard of the era.

It'd certainly be a lot easier than starting from scratch, but if somebody wants to have a go hit me up on STEAM.

 hope this helps...

Time being, we're just waiting for onewildtexan to work on the scene side of things for Imperial Age so the same scenes can be ported over to this module as well.

@ Antifiriz, the Vilinchians had to be put down, for the good and security of the Vaegir people! If you want to continue playing as a Vilinchian though, they still exist as bands of ragged looters still wearing their tattered uniforms, fighting on after their defeat at the hands of both the Vaegirs and Gottish.

@ Matmohair1, thanks for the suggestion, you gave me inspiration to improve on the lacking uniforms, they should now hopefully be more faithful to Ottoman uniforms from the period.

Status update time, chaps!

I've added 45+ new screenshots to the OP.

I have also decided to redo a handful of uniforms. First off, the Sarranids have had a complete visual overhaul, their uniforms have been recoloured, and have received some updates, instead of beige, their uniforms are now a dark, brown-ish red.

The Ancien Zouave has also been completely redesigned to match the original French Zouave from the time period.

Aside from those changes listed above, the pants have also been completely overhauled. Boots and trousers have been merged, which make uniforms look more aesthetically pleasing, and may allow for some interesting combinations, but keep in mind that some clothing pieces may cause clipping issues.

Three of the updated uniforms:

I think Alvion should have more different hats, like a highlander long hat for the highlader unit, instead of using a salacot, and different colors for some shakós at the factions, as i said, not all the alvionic units should use the same helmet

We are looking for another scener and possible coder to help us both with this and Imperial Age as both modules will be sharing a lot of the same custom scene assets.

Status Update: The Rhodoks' Silician allies ride into the fray!

These units will be available through the Rhodok cavalry line, and will provide some much needed cavalry support to the far weaker Rhodoks.
