No no no no no no no no no no

Death Korps regular Guardsmen don't have the skull faced mask, that's Grenadiers only and they have heavy armor, so their gasmask air supply is on the top of their back.

Not technically mate. In the normal fluff standard Death Korps yea, but realize theirs different units that look different for different reasons. So in essence you can make your own lines of fluff and do what you want with the base units.

We will stay true to the fluff so don't worry. This is just an example, we can place different parts of equipment and armor on whichever model we chose.

Also as far as staying true to the fluff goes there's no way of ensuring that the troops will stay equipped the same way during the length of the war in WH40K universe. So it's very likely that equipment will vary. Official books (Black Library) support that notion and even in Space Marine chapters there's a mix of parts of armor, equipment and paint applied. GWS provides us with guidlines and nothing is set in stone. Nevertheless we've got enough reference to make distinct and accurate troop types as they are presented in official materials so we will stick to it.

Again, thanks for your support! We will be releasing new materials as the become available as usual. In this case the grenadiers are next so stay tuned

Hey guys, here comes an update

Here comes another Krieg soldier - Grenadier. He's a tough son of a B isn't he. The Emperor only knows ho he can drag all the armor and equipment with him on the battlefield. Anyways I am progressing quite nicely and quickly since I have a lot of textures well in place. I am experimenting with an amount of scratches and camouflage patterns as well as with colors of the plates. I've got pretty much all the textures done for this model with one exception of an air tank (not much reference) on his back and I am far from satisfied with the tubing going over his shoulder in terms of texturing so I will make a high polly tube and bake normal and AO maps to make things look better and speed up my workflow. One more thing, there some shoulder guards that are not part of the model, but I accidentally rendered them with the soldier so ignore them. Enough words here he comes:

Im sure they'll add many variations for the players to choose from, aye?

Also my reaction.

Sure we will add more variations to chose from. It's only a matter of when. Looking around this forum you can find some exemplary pieces of work being done by community. Sometimes one can only wonder if there's any reasonable development plan in place though. With only limited resources (be it time, manpower, or whatever) you can't seriously hope to bring a giant remake of Caladria sandbox experience (no matter what age or setting you are aiming at) to life in a reasonable amount of time and still keep people interested. Developing something for years is not reasonable at all, at least not for me.

So knowing this we're not going wild with unrealistic ideas and we're concentrating very specifically in order to get the first version done, test it fix and iterate. Once we have the solid playable, hopefully fun  experience and immersion we can and we WILL add more and more features. We have some way to go still though so the most time and effort is put into making assets (player models, equipment, building blocks for map, you name it...). The progress is not slow but it takes time none the less. So we will be releasing content updates as regularly as possible trying to keep the promises we made. Make no mistake we want to play it as badly as you .

For my part you're going to see more of the Krieg soldiers and hopefully buildings textured and put in the game.

Thanks for interest, we really appreciate it!

I was just derping around the Lexicanum, when I bumped into the article about the Vraksian Renegade Militia. Any chance they were a part of your inspiration? I noticed they fought against the Krieg, that's why I'm asking.
