Mansur, I can help with modeling walls and scenes, Thrak is the only modeler we have who can rigg horse/human armours. His work is pretty darn amazing

I don't know if I've shown this or not, but I've been working on the Al-Aqsa Mosque on my own time, little here, little there, trying to mess around with it.

Its for sure not as complete and mind blowing as your models Mansur,
but I'm sure I'll get around to making some decent stuff =p

Outlawed, it is a really good start for the mosque. I add that most of the time, modelling palaces, churches or mosques is far more complicated than modelling castles.

Btw, is it true that Zionists have started to destroy Al-Aqsa ? I have heard that its gate called "Maghrebis' Gate" was destroyed by them.

There has been some major digging happening under the Al-Aqsa mosque. Israel says its archaeological but they are going dangerously close to the mosques foundation. I don't know if they have any other motives though.

EDIT: What stopped me from continuing work is that I can't seem to find any good books on how the temple mount (or haram) looked like around our year.

Sometimes we are compelled to take some freedom and use our imagination, but in this case it is weird that you don't find sources for such a famous place.

Concerning Al Aqsa, I have heard the real Zionist plan is to destroy the mosque with the pretext of archeological, and then rebuild the Jewish temple of Jerusalem, or something like that.

Nomi, that are nice pictures, but many of them don't correspond to the period of the mod. For example these Turkish helmets are from the 16th century

I wouldn't be surprised. Politically Israel and the PA aren't looking too good, especially with the release of the Palestine Papers. BUT, this is not a political forum so lets avoid that.
I found a decent book about what we are looking for.
Apparently, the mosque had been destroyed several times due to earthquakes and was completely rebuilt a bunch of times lol.
