Are there plans for a mod-pack, so that other games can have seasonal changes, just wondering? **I think there's already one for the polished maps.**

I plan to use the mod as an easy mod base for others to use. At the start of my module_scripts I have certain global variables that are tied to certain codes like ships, weather, seasons, quests, bandits etc so that anyone can use this mod as a base and disabling unwanted features is as easy as changing a 1 to a 0.

Nice! Thanks for that Ruthven !

Awesome. I'd particularly like to see the sea battles, I never had the time to make my own.

They're nothing special, just some static boat meshes with boarding planks etc stringing them together. I could use Mirathei's codes and add some raisable ladders like the ones in MP sieges or have some boarding planks attached to the models, but it's still a little hit and miss, especially with the bug where bodies will stay where they died and not on the moving scene prop, so I'd have some bodies floating a bit above water level which always really bugged me about Mirathei's.

I think this is fixed in Warband. I think it has a check to see if the prop underneath it is a "moveable" prop.

Go into MP and die on a moving siege tower, the ragdolls disappear instead of floating in the air.

...Just some idea imposed by alcohol, that I'm guessing you'd be able to pull of with some crazy workaround, or tons of work (which I doubt you can be bothered with)...:

Could you animate a battle map sized transparent mesh (so the bottom wouldn't be too close to the surface), placed underwater, just under the ships, to make em move up and down, instead of being static? I was thinking that animating the ships themselves would work, but that'd be a no-go since they'd move at different times and planks won't match.

Come to think of it, you don't even have to animate the transparent mesh. It could be static, like hilly terrain and ships moving on it. At meeting point, they'd still have to be static though, at a level place on the battle map.

All that, just so you get the feeling of boats actually sailing towards each other. Not really a necessity...More like eye-candy.

...Of course, I could be walking off in the realms of fantasy here, since I don't really know much (if anything) about sceneing, but you never know...

Ooh nice. I guess I might check this out later then.

Geren: I think that might be a bit too much work, but it would be cool.

Ruthven, Am I in this mod?
You really crave public attention don't you?

But yes, you're in. Some hilarious new things that you can find in certain places are:
POM_Ravenstein, the disgruntled money collector
Count Wolfgang von Stadler, notorious kickslasher and sayer of funny poems
Mr. Classic Comedy, encouraging the throwing of pies in medieval society
Pistol Pete, owner of a very rare, very powerful, but very expensive new weapon. Also a known drunk and public masturbator
And many more. Er, kinda. Not yet perhaps, but soon enough.

Funny poems?  Hmm, I get the kick-slash reference, but I am lacking on the poems.  Should be interesting to see (for me at least, heh).

Well since I can't make you kickslash in-game, I'll just make you write sappy love poems about me.

Hmm, I guess my "character" has developed a ginger fetish.   Memories of thine pasty white skin glistening in the sun, while tossing javelins, is stuck to my mind.  (Pun intended)

Hmm, there's a lot more I'd like to do before a beta release, but I'd need a good modeller/texturer to do it. Anyone interested? At the moment, what I'd like includes (but is not necessarily limited to):
A modelled and textured wolf that is the size of an ingame horse, and is fully rigged
A rabbit/hare (also horse sized and rigged)
A chicken (horse sized and rigged again, but should only use the front half of the horse skeleton as it only has two legs)
If possible, a cow (though this isn't quite as important, though I bet it'd be easier to do)
Small stone or wooden bridges, preferrably arced ones. (like this)

Just like that.  There's a new horse_scale thing in horse item tuples, so I can have everything horse-sized then scale it down so there aren't any rigging problems. The rabbit won't run like a rabbit, but whatever.
