I know but it is playable already at any rate I apologize for not asking your permission, I only wanted to help. The more people that know about your mod the more likely to find help to finish it don't you think?
 
because you have to trust yourself because even so the base is still native the items on it are worth playing besides a lotta people are counting in you to finish this, but again if I have offended you for doing that I apologize, you won't hear from me again, I was just trying to help. Good luck
 
I've mentioned this in other threads like this one. But this mod is really the right type for this kind of request.

For the Love of Artemis, make Amazons!
They were a part  of the Trojan war too. And their fight with Achilles is a really cool story.

They should look something like this

Nice, Yea it would be pretty cool to add amazons, but its up to rgcolt. Where were the hot Amazons located tho?

Also not that this is a bug but more like a suggestion type bug, you should change the terrain with the snowy mountain because alot of the lords try ot move through it, I always thought the AI would figure out to go around it lol Btw if you need help changing names of cities, troop types and giving lords the correct type of armor for their nation I can help.

If you decide to do it, you should really give them typical Greek Hoplite equipment. And, maybe stick some hair to their helmets, in all colors, blonde, red, dark, just so you can tell theyve got long hair underneath it.

I know I sound demanding. Sorry  :smile:

Are you using any other programs besides Wings 3D by the way? Like Zbrush?
 
not much really
i am using at this time for detailed images like inkscape, gimp - for normal maps

like zbrush turning on perhaps 1x per month :smile:

Yeah okay. I was just curious to know if Zbrush is usable when making mods for Warband. Its the only program Im good at.
 
i am not sure
if you are good at it it can save quite much time for texturing

but personally i think i have spent ~2 weeks with no real result in modding with that
 
The only problem I know of is that Zbrush is very isolated as a program, and that it has never been easy to convert its models to other 3D applications. Its only now after a few years that theyve built a bridge to the others through a new function called GoZ.

Still though, I have no idea how to convert the models into Wings 3D with their textures intact. And the models are often very detailed with a high amount of polygons. Perhaps too high.
 
basically the process i have used was
make model in wings3d
make uwmaping in wings3d
export it from wings and import to zbrush

then in zrbush in geometry make some divide (or something like that) for greatly increase polygons number
and sculpt it
after it is done it is possible export normal maps and the same model if it is necessary

Sounds easier than it is I belive. I've tried exporting textures all night long. Annoying as hell.

I had a try at Achilles sword. Didnt turn out that bad I think. But no textures. Bah  :mad:
 
if it will be not Achilles sword perhaps it will look quite good :smile:
but now i can say only the model itself is wrong at geometry proportion

and the texture is totally different :smile:

by the way if you want i can give you one simple armor for sculpting

 
Hmm,, I see no faults  :shock:

It looks very symmetrical to me. But sure, hand me the armor and I'll have some fun with it  :cool:

and before you start you need first in "uvmap" flip v

and then you can begin scult it
