I see that you named the mod the sultan's successors so i expect very good saracen troops. much better than the crusader beta in which their armors were pink! Please make it historicaly accurate and don't give the saracens only cavalary like other mods have done. at least some infantry.

Well, it won't really be historically accurate. At all. I won't even have Saracens, though I'll definitely try to get some proper-looking equipment.

Yeah. I seem to have run into a bit of a problem, it is no longer certain that when you attack an enemy party on the map that you actually attack them. I've had some ctd, unfortunately.

This seems fixed. I'm not sure yet, but it seems okay now.

The goon attacking reminds me extremely of Baldrick from Blackadder.

Anyway, at the moment I'm busy with the character creation bit. I'll probably have it so you can start with a party, which will have different troops based on your choices.

How about depending on your choices, you'll also get a hero troop too? I remember it's possible to do that.

Should be possible. I'd have to invent a spot new heroes first. And I'm not entirely sure what starting characterrs should get what kind of hero with it. I'm not sure, I'm not sure.

Probably because it's at the very least middle-easternish-based and Sultan is a perfectly valid title for someone in authority and that it therefore is perfectly valid that there might be successors?

so, it's like making an empire with kings and legionnaires and pikemen etc but they're asians.  I'm pretty sure these are Saracens ><

Heh. Well, I'm not very far yet. I've still got some trooptrees to fix, some troops to give their proper equipment, most troops to give proper stats, I still have to add lots of towns, villages and castles and stuff and at the moment almost half my factions have no lords and no base.

And most troops don't look eastern enough, but rather like some deep-frozen viking.

Becouse Sultan is a condom brand here in Finland. Thats why I always chuckle when I read "Sultan's successors"

Even though there isn't much interest; at the moment I keep getting crashes when trying to talk to my own troops. I expect the same will ring true when trying to attack other parties.

I was planning to take a pic of the Xyphians, but they won't look properly because I can't at the moment engage an actual army in the field.  I can make one in a custom battle though, if anyone's interested?

I've just replaced McAfee with comodo but ****ing comodo thinks dxtbmp has some sort of malware. God-dammit. I need that to do any sort of graphical tinkering.
