Hey, maybe this "unique oriental trader" could sell you the "heretical" experimental weapons!

By the way, I played Drakensang once (not sure which one, but it had to be in or before 2010), all the stuff was nice, but I found the combat system (excuse me) ****ty.

Yeah, my house looks like Indiana Jones' place Lol. We have weapons from the Philippines, German WW1 Bayonets, mounted black powder firearms in cases, some Hawaiian weapons, lots of Prussian and Wilhelmine period stuff. I have several bookshelves full of stuff. Some Japanese stuff. It definitely looks like a bunch of nerdy historians live here, hahaha!

Can you even move through the house?

haha! Sometimes. We're messy, but, eh...

At least you can write lots of papers in here. We have a lot of stuff to research with. It's kinda funny when I skim some bibliographies and I have some of the texts already.

*shrugs*

Hm. Blunderbusses with areal damage need to be investigated on a coding level. If it was really possible to create area damage, why not?

It was a mistaken theory that the flared barrel of a Blunderbuss caused the pellets fired to spread.
It is the 'choke' (narrowing of the barrel at the end) of a shotgun that causes the shot fired to spread.

Not necessary, nice article Myths of the Blunderbuss with series of real tests showing that it did really work.

I'm downloading the mod right now. This is not the first Renaissance mod I've seen, but surely is the first with a decent Landsknecht dress  So, for now I'm just asking: why don't you copy and paste the download link at the beginning of the thread? You should be able to get far more feedback!

Oh it is, actually a couple of times, but maybe all too hidden. Thanks for giving it a try.

And thank you even more for liking the Landsknechts' suites. I spent a couple of weeks in making the textures.

What a rare, nice surprise we got here!
A mod still in progress, yet already playable, yet already delivering what it promises!
There are many new armours and they all looks great and incredibly detailed.
Also, I don't know how does it work, but the "hair-under-the-helm" thing, even if it is just a little, visual thing are great and should be applied to ALL the mods.
A most awesome work I hope will be continued and improved!

Question: is your intention to represent a generic Renaissance or a precise XVIth century scenario?
I think some of the armors may be a bit of anachronistic. The Thirty Years War-like outfit, i.e., even if I'd love to see a mod set in that time frame

Also, along with "atmospheric" details such as the hair thing, what are you thinking about an atmospheric soundtrack, sooner or later? I think it would greatly help the immersion.
Here are some examples, some based on (I guess) on real XVIth century song, some simply "atmospheric"

See how Vivaldi, tough being a XVII artist, can give you the right "feeling" too

Thank you

Actually, the WFaS stuff (the Thirty Years War stuff) is currently being removed for both complying with the directive from TaleWorlds and ceding free slots for authentic 1520s like gear.

Music is such a thing, because putting good tracks in could cause copyright issues. However, we could release a list of mp3s to purchase and a little tool renaming the mp3s in question at a later date/release.

There will be some spread of shot from a blunderbuss, but it is not due to the flare. There will be a similar spread from a shorter, parallel barrel, gun.

Just read the article (and the test results), the myth was born in 1960, some collector made tests with small (musket size) powder load (IHMO he afraid to damage original weapons from his collection used in tests),  and without comparing results to gun without flare.

Those pics are great! God, I want a scanner...
But, has anyone noticed that we have...

Swadia- France and HRE
Rhodokia- Italian States
Vaegiria- Slavic states
Nordia- Scandinavia
Khergitia- Tatars
Sarranidia- Whoknowswhat
(England/Scotland/Ireland suggested once)

But we don't have Castille/Aragon/Navarra/Portugal? Are there any plans on them? Or... or... COLONISTS somewhere? New lands? The Americas? The quest for the new world? EXPLORERS? When you got the basic things done... this could be nice.

Von Cereal

P.S.

How's the work going?

a simple plan such as this would be better

Swadia & Nordia : Western Europe (France/Germany)

Rhodokia & Vaegiria : Eastern Europe (Hungary/Russia)

Khergitia : Central Asia (Timurid/Uzbek)

Sarranidia : Middle East (Ottoman/Mamluk)
