I'm planning to make my own mod and it's called "Kings and Castles" (it can still be changed)
The Major feature will be that when sieging a castle or a town there are more ways to defend it or attack it.
like fleeing into the lordshall and make your last stand there or when you think you can't hold the lordshall you can choose to use the catacombs to flee out of the castle.
and when you're in the catacombs, you will be followed by the enemy. and when you're out of the catacomb you can ride through the mountains to flee from the city. Or you go and Reinforce the weaponsmith and make your last stand there, or set up defences in an alley. and with attacking a castle or town you can ram in the gates and that kind of stuff. so to keep it short, this mod will expand the sieges and make them more fun.

-with sieges you can choose to attack with siegetowers and ladders but you can attack it with sapping points too,
so you can take more actions. With sapping you will be digging a tunnel under the enemy castlewalls. the digging will be that you cut through the roots and earth.
-with defending you will be able to choose wich side of the castle you want to help with the defending, so there will be a menu wich says "wich side of the town do you want to defend?
-the northern
-the southern
-the eastern
-the western
or when you are defending a town that is near the sea it will say
-the northern
-the docks
-the eastern
-the western
with attacking this will be the same so you can choose to attack the N the S the E and the W
and in a town near the sea it wil be N D E and W
and after the fight you've joint there will be a menu with the results, it will be like this
the northern wall has survived the assault
the southern or docks have survived the assault
the western wall has lost the assault
the eastern wall has lost the assault
when one of the walls has been fallen you can take two actions.
-evacuate the peasants
-reatreat to the second ring
another new feature 15/4/10
there will be naval battles.
first you will fight with boat against boat if you lose you retreat to the docks and shoot the enemy boats from there.
If that's not succeeding you will retreat to the walls near the docks and shoot the enemy who is breaching your docks.
the enemy will set up a camp and start an assault.

if you get hurt in battle you will need to go to the hospital.
if you're in the hospital the fight will just go on.
when you're in the hospital you will need to talk to the doctor.
you will be able to set doctors from companions like Jeremus.
when you talk to him you can heal yourself but it will take some time.
like 2-3 hours.
after the healing you will get an report.
it says how many men you've lost and killed in your healing time.
after that you're able again to join the fight.
as a defender you'll have less healing time as when you're attacking
cause in a town or castle you have better hospitals then in a siege camp.
the hospital of a defender will be in a nice house or somthing like that.
and the hospital of an attacker will be in a tent.

I will add another defence on the wall.
there will be board shield between battlements at some places.
one on the left and one on the right.
there will be a little space between them.
but the space will be big enough to shoot through.

combat will be twice deadly as before.
cause I will modify some weapons.
one weapon will be the crossbow.
you can switch it to ranged and to melee.
cause I don't think you're still alive when a crossbow is bashing through your skull

you will be able to set an ambush.
there is a defence ambush.
and an attack ambush.
the defence ambush will be like: the enemies where trying to get behind the town in the mountains where the escape route is for the peasants. if they're there you can push some big rocks from the cliff and let them fall down upon the enemy and they're gone.
the attack ambush will be like: the enemy is heading to your town/castle and you set up an ambush in the woods nearby.
there will be many ways to ambush them.
but it will be expensive.
like you can do a infantry ambush. (with only light infantry, cause the enemy will hear heavy infantry cause of there mails)
there will be a ranged ambush. (with bows and crossbows, and again no mails)
or and cavalry ambush.(and ofcourse no heavy knights)
and there will be a great ambush.
a great ambush is an ambush of ranged infantry and cavalry.
they will surround the enemy army.
like the infantry is standing in front of the enemy and will be the distraction.
the archers will fire upon the enemy.(the archers will be in a defensive position so the enemy cavalry can't charge them.)
and the cavalry attacks the enemy from behind.
don't expect your army is going to win cause there army will be much bigger then your ambush forces.
but you will weaken them.
you can choose to go with the ambush forces and fight with them.
you need to be sure that your horse isn't going to die cause you need it for the fleeing.

Crossbow and Bow damage will be much higher,
1-2 Shots of a Crossbow and you're dead,
1-3 Shots of a Bow and you're dead,
Bows will be much bigger and crossbow will be bigger too.
and bolts will be bigger,
cause the vanilla bolts are far too small to be realistic,
(watch the movie "Robin Hood" if you wanna see realistic bolts and arrows)
I will also try to add
some new items
And I will need some help to do this.
