That's precicelly the hard and time consuming part. Not to mention the only part that takes effort ;p

Eh...I meant it's easier then scripting and creating bretonnian lands,castles,people,etc.

Renaming the Rhodok faction and lords into Bretonian names isn't the "hard" part
 
Why on earth would they do such a thing? This mod is aiming for out-of-this-world quality. Why would they do such a thing as reskinning the Rhodoks?!

Plus, Rhodoks are nothing like Bretonnians, you've no idea what you're talking about.

Someone was saying that making a faction was harder than making models for a faction and I was saying that making a faction could be as easy as renaming another one. I chose the Rhodok faction as a example. You could make a "Bretonia" faction by just renaming the faction to "Bretonia" and renaming the lords. My argument is that renaming a bunch of locations and characters is easier than modeling a entire new faction
 
yeah, and rename Swadians to the Empire, nords to Nordland, Vaegirs to Kislev, Sarranids to Araby, Khergits to Nippon and bandits to Greenskins and you're all set!

You obviously didnt get his point. What he is saying is that modelling and texturing new things from scratch is a lot harder than actually just putting them in game, replacing just an existing faction. Ie rhodoks. Replace every rhodok unit with an unit equiped like a bretonnian. You get Bretonnia

Kinda, I was more saying that the renamed faction ie. Rhodoks to Bretonia would be simpler to make (but maybe not better) than modeling a bretonian army.

I was trying to explain to stupar that "scripting" a Bretonnian faction wouldn't be very hard while modeling a bunch of more units would be hard.

Anyway, this mod isn't aiming for simplicity but top quality, which should be pretty obvious.

Knight Errant,weakest
Knight of Realm,modest
Questioning Knight,good
Extremely rare and Questioning Knight to upgrade takes years,godlike Grail Knight!

(They are known for fighting as ''mercenaries'' sometimes in Empire armies,not for money,but experience and fortune.Also Questioning Knights and Grail Knights same or for the Lady.)
If you add them(not faction,just mercenaries)will be fun to spill their blue swine blood!

So ok here's the situation explained: Stupar gave an idea to add a Brettonia mercenaries troops, but later addresed them as a "faction", or someone else thought he ment a "faction" and so I said that "Just" making armours for them is very hard, not "easy" as stupr proposed and so Nurgle pointed out to stuprs defence, that moddeling entire faction is harder then scripting and mapping one as stuprs defence would've implied taken out of context, or quite literally.
Then MineStepDad came in to say that the example of how easy it is to "create a faction" with "people, scripts and a map" (see stuprs posts) is not to his liking, ie. adding a native faction with different naming only, which nobody proposed.

In short: It was a misunderstanding after a misunderstanding about a misunderstanding.
And stupr have proposed to make only a few mercenary type, bretonnian knights to add flavour to the game. Just making that clear too.
 
I think maybe the SP should perhaps have a single Questing Knight at a tavern somewhere, why would ordinary knights be all the way up there in the north?

Maybe he can be a recruitable hero. Like Madrid or Nizar.
 
Or character can start off as questing knight, leaving his home to prove his worth to the Lady, traveling perform feats, and killing greenskins, chaos creature, vampires ect.

Probelm is,there are no greenskines,but chaos scums are available.
And it's Questin Knight xD I saw it....Questioning Knight XDDDDD
But there wouldn't be only one,if you didn't knew,there are tons of them,but most of them die after some time or never complete their quest!
It would be nice that if you have time so you can make Felix and Gotrek(if it isn't too much work,but Felix can be easily made as hero).
And if you make Gotrek,give him normal 2h axe,not with big head and 300 reach as in warsword,it's about 120-130 reach and metal head of it is only twice bigger then normal axe.
He would be hero,it's not about making whole faction,just one model and later when you finish release,he can be source for creating dwarfs!
