SP Fantasy [WB] Grim Age: Ostland Campaign - Alpha released.

Hello everyone, I'm just busy with improving my modelling skill and my studies. The patch still needs some polishing, but I'll try to release it soon. Otherwise - nothing new, I'm only about to start making Ostland knights.

Exeo, well, yep, I can't add anything to Echtel's answer, except for the 3rd issue - I've been revapming the balance, and, hopefully, it will be more intresting and balanced.

I played this for like 7 hours straight yesterday,and theres some things i want to report (hopefully they werent posted yet)
1st thing i played only as chaos so far (chaos <3)

problems:

1.It seems really hard to get food after few hours of gameplay because villages get completely destroyed really fast,i think there should be like longer life span of them or smaller chance for them to get ruined

2.*SPOILER* when i got to the lvl where i got the chaos warrior set,i kind of lost reason to collect more salvage cause i couldnt get different weapon or armor (at least i didnt find any other smiths than the ones in the first cities)

3.It feels like empires/ostlands troops are at horrible disadvantage because even on the hardest difficulty,if you get to them and you FOR SURE get to them,they have almost no chance,even the greatswords wont stop you for too long.

4.Sometime when i wanted to duel with someone,they didnt even appear and then i just pressed TAB and lord,with his whole army just went *puf* they just disappeared.

5.When i went to the castle,everyone had missing head and was naked,but i guess thats because all the chaos champions are "transfomed" and if you put away the armor after the "transformation" you have some really messed up body 

Ill report more stuff later when ill find it,i hope this helps 

Otherwise,i have to say,most detailed and beautiful armors and weapons i saw in any mod for warband so far,i actually like this mod more that warsword now

1- Yes that is a problem. It has been said that markets will probably be added to towns as well

2- Well, after you get the CW armor you don't need anything else anyway, so yeah salvaging does become pointless

3- Quite frankly, I have not experienced this in my playthrough. Empire has very good troops and can hold its own just fine against chaos. Just make sure you get the right combination of troops: Marksmen can truly rain death upon chaos medium infantry (to the point of being OP honestly), use spearmen to protect them and throw in a few veteran halberdiers and possibly greatswords to pack a punch and don't forget priests, always have max number of them,they are totally worth it. In my experience a veteran halberier can often manage take down a top tier marauder  on his own and greatswords truly wreck face; of course nothing can stand up to an elite crusher in a 1 on 1 melee, that's what handgunners are for

4- It happens when the enemy lord who you are challenging is too wounded to fight you just win the duel automatically and when you win a duel there's a chance the enemy army will suffer a total rout from the loss of morale

5- Yes, that's because there' not yet a body model for Chaos Warriors\Champions

Well about the CW armor,i would make lets say another transformation or something on lvl 30 or 20,that would give you lets say the CW armor of the wandering champions,that one is just badass tbh,or just some different looking version of the same armor,otherwise,its great anyway.

Oh don't worry that's going to be added in future versions for sure. This is just an alpha after all... (already frikkin' awesome, I know, but it's still nothing compared to what the final version is going to be )

Idd this is one of the mods with the best concept hands down (and from what I can tell plyaing the early alpha the realization is nothing to sneeze at either  ) Andreus is doing an amazing job both with the ambientation (very warhammerish) AND with the adaptation of the gameplay to WB.

Speaking of which, would it be possible to get a sneak peek preview on those Empire Knights?

Almost two months later... am I allowed to ask if the mod is still progressing, even slowly ?
This mod  had such an impressive start earlier in the year... makes me sad we're not getting new anymore.

If I were you I'd just stop worrying about this mod... I mean don't expect it to be complete anytime soon; just keep it in the back of your head and be pleasantly surprised the day it does come out.

I don't think Andreus is going to give up on such a masterpiece, it's just that it can't be easy to work at a project with such high expectations around it with very limited resources. This WILL take time and a lot of it, let's just be patient and keep supporting

Is it possible for PC to obtain a warrior's priest armor and hammer during the game?
I am asking because I need to know if there is a reason to name my character a Luthor Hus

I don't think so, never happened to me.

You can always use cheat menu though. If you don't want to make it feel like you are cheating, you could just wait until you unlock higher level armors in the normal way to add it

So me and a friend started playing this a few days back, and it's truly amazing what has been done in this mod.

There's a few things i'm looking for some help with though. First off, when playing as the Empire, how do i make the jump from captain to baron? I've done all the missions, gotten a fief, made it to 500 renown and now i don't know what else to do in order to rank up.
Also, after about 50 days ingame it seems like the towns are all out of recruits. I tried waiting for 1½ month ingame time, hoping they'd start regenerating but haven't had any luck there, so i'm wondering if or when there's gonna be more recruits?
I also haven't been able to figure out how to get any Signmarite novices that the other Lords have, but i'm guessing these might be hidden away until i rank up to Baron?

Now when playing as Chaos i haven't been able to figure out if it's possible to advance beyond a simple chaos warrior. I looked in the cheat menu and found several things like "Elite" or "Champion" versions of the chaos warrior gear, but i have no idea if it's possible to get any of these items without cheating. I also haven't been able to figure out a way to get a horse for my chaos character, is it even possible currently? And is possible to get different chaos warrior gear in general, or are you stuck with whichever gear the gods give you?

Now finally i read through the thread and back in august it was mentioned that there was a patch in the works, has it been released yet? Or will that be in a future update?

I think the only thing you need to rank up as an empire captain is renown. I believe 1k is what you need to get to "Defender of Faith" which is the rank that allows you to recruit Novices (in the capital at the temple of Sigmar). As for the recruits problem: the army size you can have is directly dependent on your renown so check if you have reached the limit (you cannot recruit if you don't have free renown)

Chaos Warrior should be the highest attainable rank at the moment; further advancement is coming in the future. If you want access to the rest of the chaos equipment for now the cheat menu is the only way.

Andreus has said he's busy atm so presumably the updates are on a stall, don't quote me on that though

Free renown? That whole renown system didn't quite make sense to me tbh. I have renown, but should i be spending that on the units? Haven't really noticed my renown dropping when i've been buying units, but i might have missed it. Currently the issue seem to be that every town has a -XX number when it tells me how many recruits they have available, but i guess that could mean i have -XX renown in order to buy new ones? I'm pretty confused about this whole ordeal atm
