No comments about the new map?

Anyway, I'm kinda busy, so I desperately need help in this mod. Gothic Knight, you're awesome at modelling and you know a lot 'bout the time after the Marian Reforms ie the days of Caesar. If you're not busy, could you help with the modelling

Every now and then, probably. As a dedicated member of the team, nope. Anywho, this is the pilum they used. The spearhead is wrong but other then that it's alright.

The map looks cool. Sorry for not commenting on it, I'm not much of a map critic.

I'm working on a Gallic/Celtic Montefortino now, based on these pics:

Wish me luck!

That's pretty awesome. You can also make a ton of variants. One with plumes(bronze or steel), one without plumes(bronze or steel), and one without cheekpieces(bronze or steel).

Good idea. Will do that after I tex this one. Maybe after that, I'll do a retex of a Roman Montefortino for Centurions.

Nice model Demonwolf.. what is the poly count?

Can't remember. Will post when I get back to my modding computer.

Still working on the texture. It's all fine except for the fact that it doesn't have the famous three circles on the cheekpieces.

Edit:Anyone wanna help with texturing it? PM me.

2nd Edit: Hey guys, should I use this guy's map? It's way better than mine hands down: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,69143.msg1793853.html#msg1793853

Hmm the model looks ok, but i think you should add some sort of *side things* or whatever i'm not sure what it's called but it looks bit empty to be honest, other than that very nice model.

Those are the cheek pieces lol. I can't really tell but they are kinda small.

Well that's it i mean they should stretch a bit more to the back that or then i've seen too many roman-era films.

Most Roman films are horrible as far as equipment accuracy goes. Celtic Montefortinos don't have the same cheek pieces as Roman Montefortinos. The Celtic Montefortinos use a cheek piece style that was used by some Italians(Samnite etc), Iberians and so forth. As for how the cheek pieces look, here you go.

What he said.

Edit: Oh yeah, 1302 poly.

great model D-Wolf. I agree with Gothic.. a little high on the poly.. but there are some ways/ tricks to cut that down a bit.  The texture you might need to play with a bit too.. but great start on the model.

Kinda high poly. I made a montefortino and it was 557 faces with the plume on it.

Yeah, I know. Still trying to reduce it.

Thanks. But yeah, still reducing it. The texture is a place holder. I'm trying to get those signature three circles onto the cheekguards, as well as making the tex a lil more... metallic.

In early Rome, generals were Military Tribunes. Legates are considered a Marian or late Republican Rome development. That being said, this mod would require a lot of nice coding.

Well good luck with this one cuz there is a ****load of rome mods being developed hope this one will make it
None of them actually have unique models or textures though except for Ghost Soldiers, which is the only historically accurate one out of all of them. Anywho, it doesn't look like anyone has interest in Early Rome because I've been making an OSP for people to use if they want to do a Republican era mod and it gets not attention whatsoever.

You mentioned an OSP pack... Where is it?

Here, none of the items are relevant to your period except the Etruscan Corinthian that I haven't finished yet. I have to redo the eyes and nose decorations(took a good look at pictures and decided they were too small) and then do the feather/crest.
