Btw there should be a map for the Battle of Haelen  one of the last (if not the last) cavalry on cavalry engagements in the war.

Yes, planes were first used in war as early as 1911 in the Italo-Turkish War. By 1916 all armies had a operational airforce.

(History nerd alert XD)

I have 2 UBER-RARE pictures of the Montenegrin Air Force in 1912, it's weird, they had an air force ( 3 planes of whom 1 for bombarding ( later ) and two for fighting... All were destroyed in January, 1916, confirmed kills by all 3 : 13 ), yet they had a lack of vehicles and machine guns at the start, yet were the first Central-Southern Europe power to use camo in the 20th Century

Pics from planes :

^^ Here you can see men wearing the Serbian officer hats, as Serbia was Montenegro's major ally at that time, they had equipped them with those hats, as the Montenegrins used the national hat for an army cap, and were not used for the air force, so they got Serbian ones for the Air Force, they were trained either in Russia or Italy ( as those were Montenegro's biggest allies after Serbia ) ^^

^^ Near Berane, just after it's fall, the plane was a bit damaged so it had to land immediatelly ^^

It's called family collections   As all from my dad's side at that moment were in the army, including General Janko Vukotich ( my dad's mum's mum's dad )........... The pictures were held by my dad, and I scanned 'em today, yet they are really old and how to say...unstable, can be ripped easily, also one guy ( a pro photographer ) told us that we must never expose it to extreme light ( eg. a flash from a camera/phone ) etc...

Jesus, they must be 100 years old, they must be worth a lot of money. Put em up for auction in 50 years if they are still here and you'l get a lot of money for them .

The picture was taken on October 8, 1912, just before Montenegro ( at 4 PM GMT +1 ) declared war, starting the First Balkan War

I wouldn't sell them if someone offered even 25.000 USD, they're priceless! And as I'm a big Montenegrin nationalist and a huge respecter of the Montenegrin Royal Family and my descendants, I would NEVER EVER EVER sell 'em
