Hello there fellow Community and Players. We, The developers of The Vast Fields of Europe WW1 Mod, are pleased to return to the modding scene with our new World war 1 mod from our new series Battlefield Europe. Battlefield Europe: 1916 is a brand new code rewrite and hopes to bring much more enjoyment and immersive gameplay to the Multiplayer World War 1 experience. We know we have been inactive for a long time but we believe we are ready to bring back a mod whih gave us our original taste of development-ship. On behalf of the team we apologise for the Vast Fields of Europe failed releases and bugs and promise that it will not happen again. Due to our original experience we have decided we will update you per week with eye candy and feature updates so you can stay interested and givge us the much needed support. On behalf of the BE team I hope you all follow our mod through its progressing stages. We Will release information on This Thread in Weekly Stages

Alright we are only working on 3 troop types currently and you'll see why in the next update but here are the current troop types:
British Commonwealth
British Infantryman

Each Troop type will be expanded on with custom helmets being added, Various Uniforms and also types. For example British Infantryman can be changed to British Highlander and Deutsch Infanterist can be changed to preußischen Infanteristen(Prussian Infantryman).

Battle Icons
Almost every kill icon used in native has been changed to fit our needs and give the mod its own feel. I'll show some examples below:

Improved Polling
I wasnt thinking on adding this but why not,Its and OSP and it improves polling quite a bit. Reasoning has been edited along with a few other improvements. NOTE: Subject to change!

Scene Props
There have been a lot of scene props in production and unfortunately I have no pictures of them currently but maybe next time you'll get to see more. Trenches, Sandbags and Houses are currently being modelled and have been modelled so soon the sceners will get their hands on the mapping module.

New Gamemode
I can confirm that we will have an Invasion based gamemode however the enemy will have guns and it will be your job to utilise the tools we give you to get through the rounds, Be it with bayonets and swords or Grenades and Artillery..


Well That wraps up this weeks latest release, Next weeks may be smaller as we are nearing christmas time but I'll still come on and post even though its that special day. By shifting the gear around and adding more gear, we can easily create stuff like Stormtrooper uniforms and variations of the basic German infantry. Still needs to be textured and polycount needs to be reduced.

Well isn't this a nice surprise, i wish you lads the best of luck with this, it was a shame to see VFOE die so quickly but hopefully this one won't.

Btw Wolfy I am going to order a teamspeak server soon you can use it for Linebattles and stuff its not much but meh 100 slots(prob 150 slots)

Machineguns can be done through autofire script.World War 3 has one and I think they would be pleased to give it to World War 1.
My suggestion is TANKS.There was some thread that taught you how to make guidable turret scene props.You add tanks as horse options,and with a script,instead of the horse item spawns the tank scene prop.
