Jews were tolerated in both Christian and Muslim Iberia until almost 15th century (they were expelled in 1492, after the fall of Granada but that was part of the religious unification program held by Isabel and Fernando). As Prince of Judah said, they even fought in the wars between christians and moors.

There were not important pogroms and forced convrsions till 14th century, except the one that French crussaders made in Toledo when they were heading for the Battle of the Navas de Tolosa in 1212.
 
Actually one of the most important pogroms took place in Granada in 1066, under the Zirid dynasty:

And a sad pogrom at that - the son of one of the most influential men of that time (Joseph ibn Naghrela, the son of Samuel ibn Naghrela) was also murdered and countless of Samuel ibn Naghrela's work (poetry and philosophy) were destroyed.  :sad:

I was thinking more in Christian Spain. Didn't know about that one. Thanks for the info :wink:
