Books spoiler.

Only now did I start reading A Storm of Swords, and now I want to play this mod more then ever to avenge my king. It's been spoiled for me, but I still can't shake it... Bloody Boltons and Freys, they will be first I'll turn my sword against. Please add good soundtracks of men screaming like children and begging for their lives so I can take more pleasure in killing them.

Such a cliché that everyone is on the side of the Starks.

I'm cheering Stannis.

I kinda have to agree. I wish the author made it so that there was no house that had the high ground so readers could "root" for more houses rather than Stark or Dany. Kinda weird considering Martin's non-cliched writing style that he did that to the Starks.

AS AM I! Bend it how you like, Stannis is the true heir. and then Renly.. and If robert dies in this mod. I will make sure Stannis get's the throne as Lord Stark wishes.

But anyway, I check this daily, and can say for sure now that this is the mod I'm looking forward to the most

In this thread I am only favouring me as king of Westeros. And I promise you, I'll never cut myself sitting on the Iron Throne

Apart from the starks, I support the dornish and littlefinger because he is just badass. probably some more faction that i forgot too. Stannis is legitimate, but this fiery god thing makes me not like his claim so much.

ALL HAIL KING JOFFREY OF HOUSE BARATHEON!

(Handsome beast)

To be serious, I don't really know who I will be supporting. Perhaps Greatjon Umber if I can get a hold of him, because, y'know, he's bloody Greatjon Umber.

Btw, will Petyr even be in? His house might be too minor, maybe some kind of quest character for a later version?

I guess is obvious my favorite side

I love the progress on this mod, but I honestly don't think I'll be able to pull off playing it. . . I just can't. . . .you guys are not including the character who means the most to me. . .

I think Honestly, that Lord Renly Baratheon should be implicated. . . I just can't play without his faction. . .

I'm sure its a little tiresome constantly answering questions from fans of your work... the high level of communication you maintain with us is praiseworthy. I hope you won't mind if I ask a few questions of my own!

Firstly, what kind of background options will be available during character generation? Will you be able to start as a knight, or will that privilege need to be earned during the course of the game?

It was mentioned that taking over the settlements of opposing factions will give you access to their troop trees. Will the uniforms of these troops remain the same as they were under the enemy lords? My worry is that could be confusing, if as a River Lord I find myself commanding troops sporting Lannister Lions while I fight enemies in the exact same uniform.

Thanks in advance for humouring me

Thanks for all the response everyone!!  Glad that you all enjoyed it.  I hope to have some more pics of my next castle up soon before the week is over.

Thought I'd answer some more of the specific questions.
@ Uhtred and Lithuanian - No this is just a random castle for the ones that won't get special attention.  A filler of sort.

@ Stupar - Thanks for the suggestion, I was thinking the same thing.  I may add some random houses outside the walls on the "island".

@ SteelSnow - That would be a good strategy if you "could" do it, but with a proper A.I. mesh and barriers you won't get the chance.  By the way the castle is not exactly based on Castle Tioram, just inspired by the tombolo and rockiness.

@ Nightowl - Those pics are extremely helpful.

Next one is inspired by Dustanburgh Castle.
Couple of pics of what I'll be going off of.

Well there are SOME trees, as we have seen it on the screenshots, but I didn't mean just the iron isles, I was talking about the whole mod really.

Anyway, doubt adding Polished Landscapes is anything complex, in fact, an average mod user may add it, it's just that without adjustment it will randomly be spread across the scenes, causing some weird and/or ugly placements, such as trees inside towns, inns, trees covering roads, frequent way overforested battlefields etc.

It's honestly by far, and I really mean it when I say it, by far, the best, most realistic vegetation I've seen in any game. It would really be able to recreate those gloomy forests around Winterfell shown in season 1 of the HBO series.(Among other things, of course)

Vikingr, AD 1257 and The Deluge are just some fantastic examples of how magnificent the landscapes can look with it. I personally have stopped looking at other game of thrones mods and focused on this one, because it looks the most promising. It would be a shame for the best westeros mod not to have such pretty landscapes.

I have to agree with you. Native vegetation (especially the trees) is very ugly, and stand out even more in a mod that looks so good otherwise. I really hope the team replaces the trees, bushes and ground textures we see in the screenshots with those from Polished Landscapes.

Robert is dead in this mod  the mod starts after
the death of renly
great job on the new scenes and armours they really look great

This probably has been suggested but I was thinking.

Maybe constant march can be a morale drain. You can many little inns dotted along the kings road and other crossings that are only a day or two from each other so you can rest your men. Resting them raises their morale and allows you to keep going without them revolting on you.

Inns can be burned and such to effectively stop the enemy from moving on you or vice versa, their loot will be much smaller than a villages.

That is one fine idea! Especially the morale "boost", so to say, by resting at Inns. (which of course should cost money)
