Watch a 2015 Bannerlord 2 promotional video ...

Voice acting is really the last thing I care about. It's very costly, doesn't add that much and makes modding much more annoying. Also it's often redundant as people read faster than they speak, so you usually skip half the spoken text anyway.
Having pseudo-speech (that is, well-done background noise or some sim-like blabla from time to time) is okay for immersion purpose, but that's it.
yes, +1 for sim blablas

True. I skip halfway through every spoken sentence in almost every RPG i play, because i read much faster than they speak. *Time is money friend*

I would have understand if you take the E3 2016 Siege demo as a video proof of how much the game actually went backwards, but this is not a good example.

That we can relate to. Maybe improving the siege AI will make that the same kind of example(i hope).

i would not say character creation is soo bad. I have made some decent looking characters in the creator. With time and effort some of them can be made https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?threads/show-off-your-bannerlord-faces.387521/page-9
Nono, I don't think it's bad, I just think it's somewhat limited, I feel like I can't really create the faces I want even if I spend hours and hours editing faces, I can't really explain why though.

Yeah, there are mods in warband and other RPG games that just give some little lines and such, in Prophesy of Pendor this works particularly well because they voice act little amount of lines, for example when you're about to fight an heretic they shout a both hilarious and terrifying "MORE BLOOD AAAAA" and that already gives you a hint on what they sound like, and they apply that to everything, you meet someone and they usually have a little voice act, even when you talk with mercenaries, they just say "hail my Lord" instead of a full phrase. If they want to do voice acting this is the way specially for a game like Bannrlord imo

Yeah i get that but this character creation by far the best for creating, i have never played a game (you would laugh at the characters i make in FO4 Dank souls whatever) that you can make so different looking faces however this can get better. I love all the nose options they are the best but face sharpness and jaw options are pretty limited you cant go beyond what is set for you in these options.

Yeah I think the same, like you either get a very sharp face or a very round one, I wish there was a better in-between for that one, same thing for the jaw and the mouth, but it's a good char creation of course, just tweaking these a little bit should solve this problem, and well, despite I like the tattoos and everything I wished you could add more than 1 or move it as you wished even in your body like in Dark Souls and separate scars from tattoos, and also more hairs too would be great. Hopefully they'll deliver on the char creation by the end of EA, I don't think they want to expand it too much at the moment.

Please define very much inferior.
I just noticed the voice acting.
The game is bad right now but **** me, that looks about 10x worse

No it isn't, in 2020 they could made a much better one.

K buddy nobody is saying they couldn't but the video you posted looks like a ps2 game with terrible UI, it's ok to criticize but you can't just look at that and say its better than what we have now

So far nobody managed to point out what's very much superior in that 2015 video.

Of course it's an interesting discussion to compare 2015 to 2020, I don't know if it makes much sense though. The stuff that was shown in the video looked like it was mostly working but we don't know how many things didn't work.

OP claimed that whatever was in the video was very much superior, its not on us to point out what's superior now lol.

I'll say a few things from memory though. Superior visuals, superior UI, and the superior lack of bad voice acting are three things.

comparing tech demos for investors with a full game.

?

i just want to remind you about NoMans Sky advertising video and the actual game

Expect No Man's Sky developers were actually a small indie studio (they even had a flood in their offices once, but they still worked on the game hard after), and TaleWorlds has much more employees, and that doesn't count as a, y'know, small indie developer, but an actual, mainstream game developer (not AAA, more like AA, but you get the point).

These forums are getting more delusional and delusional each day: and I thought Cyberpunk 2077 fanboys were bad. At least the Cyberpunk people can admit the game's bugs and blandness (the Steam review score says it all), unlike Bannerlord, where it got spammed with a bunch of comedians with 0.1 hours parroting the unfunny "It'S aLMOst HaRvesTINg SEAson." "jokes", making the review score highly inaccurate. If it was accurate, it would be more in lines with the current Cyberpunk score or even dropping to mixed reviews: it certainly doesn't deserve the "highly positive" rating.

Are you talking about the game that started to be developped two years later than Bannerlord, with one tenth of the manpower available to TW, and yet was released four years ago and showered with enough free content through fast development that the game today contains all the promised features and tons more ?

I'm trying hard to see what the OP thinks is superior in this video and the only thing I can see is no loading screens for taverns. The rest of it is just bad. I'm glad the game didn't release in ea like this.

The vast majority of positive steam reviewers have played way more than 0.1 hours. Try a better argument.
