Prison break in Barak Varr castle is broken... half the time, the prison guard spawns on top of the map. Breaking into the prison and then coming back out causes all of us to spawn ontop of the map, too. Had to awkwardly find my way back down and was able to kill the castle guards who spawned in their normal places. This is when orcs own the castle, not sure if thats relevant.

Sorry, mate.

Just didn't know what else to suggest, as so many players of the mod are finding their keys not working, even though they have legitimate games (or so they claim at least, anyway). I've personally helped loads, as have other players, with this problem and it's only currently-guaranteed solution. It's been an issue for years now, from what I've seen of an official reply from Taleworlds themselves.

That being said, I won't mention it again from now on. :wink:

I've passed this on to the dev in charge of the game registration database, and I'll let you know when he's had a chance to look into it.
 
To add unto that - normally registered games are awarded a badge on the forums, but sometimes an issue comes up. They are fixing this now)

Yes, it seems like it's bugged for me.
 
Great Mod guys.  :smile: I have a couble of questions:

1) Is there a way to get some of the unique armors (for example of the chaos-lords?)
2) There are special (powerfull) troops that can not be promoted from regular troops. Is the only way to get them by freeing them from enemy lords, or can I recruit them once I have my own kingdom?
3) Any tipps on which magic school to choose? I find it a little bit annoying that the decision is final. Couldn´t you include a "respec" option so that we can experiment a little bit.

1) You could wait and get lucky to see them being sold at a chaos vendor ( or special armor vendor ? ) or use the mods cheat menu.
2) If you meant the heralds and daemon prince's i'm guessing you need a town ( maybe castle ) and build the building that can spawn them , or rescue them as you said.
3) I'm playing as Chaos so i made a save game, took a school and tested it, then reloaded and tried out a different one. I ended up with Nurgle since it has a weapon buff for my army, a ignore pain buff for my army, i can heal my army and has a big aoe damage spell. I was doubting between a few schools at the beginning so i just tried em all out .
 
Can you make it so when you are waiting in a town/castle that belongs to a friendly faction, you automatically join the defense when an enemy besieges it? So annoying how many times I've lost a fief because of this not happening when there is barely a garrison in it.
 
Really wish lords would garrison their fiefs faster... pretty much once a fief gets sieged and the starting garrison is reduced to 0, it will be lucky to break 100 troops at some point, causing a tug of war between factions who keep failing to garrison it properly.

Are you running game via mod launcher?

As Eska mentioned, make sure you're launching the mod through WSELoader.exe (easier to create a shortcut for it on your desktop and rename to "Warsword Conquest" or something). Starting the mod normally through Steam, will ignore WSE, which is needed for the extra scripts in the mod. Hence the name "Warband Script Enhancer" lol.

If you've ever played a modded Skyrim or Fallout, then you're probably familiar with the methods of playing a scripted game/mod. It's the same principle.

You might still come across the odd random error, as there are still some apparent in the mod (which are due to be looked at/fixed), but they shouldn't be flooding the feed like that. Typically, that's not using WSE correctly.

There is a Documentation folder with mod installation instructions, and a written article on installation on ModDB too.

1) Could somebody explain to me why this awesome mod hasn´t its own subforum? Posting everything in this 1000+ page thread seems ... rather inefficient  :wink:

2) Playing around with the magic-system a bit:

It seems their is a good amount of frontloaded complexity here. You have to choose a school and it´s final so you actually want to save and try them all out before you do so but without high enough Int / Mag you can´t do much. --> You can only do this late in the game and then in a very unnatural way by playing - reloading - playing - reloading - etc. I also find the school system rather restricting. I like this mod, but how often will I play through it as a "mage"? having a dozen or more schools of which you can only use one through the entire game seems like a lot of content will never be experienced by most people. Also there is no sense of exploration, in going to other places to find new spells, or equipment. Getting better armor and weapons is a lot of fun for many people, yet as a mage there is basically nothing to get in this dimenson. No Novice, Apprentice, ... Master, Grandmaster Staff, Hat, Robe etc. Just buy one Robe at the academy and drop your Shoes, Gauntlets, Shield, Helmet  :neutral: (playing as Chaos doesn´t help I suppose  :lol:)

Just a suggestion here: Maybe you could make a relatively huge amount of "general" spells which any mage can learn (collect from all different kinds of places) and then have the schools as specializations for lategame? It would make playing a mage from the beginning a much more natural experience in my opinion.

And since you already have "skills" in the game maybe you could implement a few for mages, like Battlemage: increases the allowed encumbrance for unrestricted casting.  :fruity: and so on.

That's due to Warhammer being the intellectual property of Games Workshop. To have your own sub-forum, it needs to be original content or at least have permission from the existing owners. Of which Warsword has neither.

Can't really comment on magic, as I've never used it. Never play a caster in any game. But I'm sure someone else will have an opinion on it.

As a note, it's probably worth joining the Discord as the majority of players are already there. Good place for discussion, information, general chit-chat, and bug reports. Just make sure to use the channels correctly. :wink:

As Eska mentioned... on ModDB too.
Not seeing the errors anymore.
Its possible I accidentally launched the game through the wrong launcher, although I was always careful not to do that. Those errors started on a playthrough 500+ days in.
