Havent seen anyone being angry yet because of someone saying its EA ^^ but im not seeing em behind their desk either  Mostly i see is people complaining about mod ideas not being in the game and some thinking EA was an finished product for some strange reason after all these years with EA titles
Maybe not exactly angry but starting a whole list of their dissapointments of why it shouldn't be EA in the first place. people do that, it's still undestandable.

Ok. It is related to this bug (I explained above). It will be fixed in 1.5.6 (in 3 weeks can be at beta) or maybe I can talk people to send it as hotfix (because seem important)
I’ll be honest, this is my #1 issue with starting a new play through. Would be great to get it as a hot fix or with 1.5.5, so I don’t have to avoid being a mercenary for another patch cycle ?

YES PLEASE! IT IS "IMPORTANT!"
And what happend to Battania? There are Citiys with way over 500 Militia in it? o_O

Can you also give a screenshot from militia change detail (by entering that town and mouse over militia number)

Probably this happened because Battania culture has +1 militia bonus and also this town has high prosperity (6.7K) so their daily militia produce is high also this settlement probably has a project giving bonus to militia bonus. Also I see a governor effect of 2.5 in some towns which is so high and need to be reduced a bit.

No need for that. Maybe there are too strong now. Battanians in my playthrough is in war with western empire and most of the time in war with someone else. But it seems, nobody reaches there ground ever.
Ok besides Seonon, but that was a accident, there tripped and i happened to be nearby. :fruity:

I am working on making map / kingdoms more balanced for 3-4 weeks. Did not changed bonuses yet because it is not my area, I reported they are causing problems but still they are same. Bonuses have very big effect on this snowballing problem however even bonuses are same with fixing different problems at different parts now factions are more resistant. Finally I got good results after fixing so many different things. I will update you this friday with all details. These changes will be at game at two next update.

By the way wars are not scripted. If two factions are neighbour they usually have war or tribute deal.

Here is a map from 22th year of game after these updates without player interaction :

For more information about all changes wait this friday.
Now this looks awesome! Looking forward to your post!

There will be a new patch for beta soon. It will not include these changes but two next patch / update will include them.

This post was about scripted wars by the way (however it is not the case, there is no scripted wars in game). There will be no update about war / peace systems, they are not scripted. These developments will be only for weakened factions to resist more on map and to make more comebacks and slow down snowballing by doing better money / influence management and making better decisions.
I'm curious, you said the fixes you made aren't with War/Peace system but else where. Do you think your changes have had an impact on war/peace decisions or would you expect to see similar results as our last comparison in 1.5.1?

Well, my City with 6700 prosperity has about 470 militia soo there's that, and it s a empire one so it doesn't have the battania militia add on

Like Mexxico said, battania have a bonus and active militia projekt. What bothers me is that every day it becomes very unlikely that the enemy will attack the city. that and that huge garrison in each city before i attacked them.
Maybe its just me again, but i dont think militia should be bound with prosperity alone.

Weeell, hmm...Maybe it resembles prosperity influencing population and sht but i agree, it's just kinda weird how it impacts the militia directly

Empire cities have bonus prosperity, so indirectly that affects militia. Either way it's easy to have high militia if you spect your settlements into it with good governors

So after many campaigns during my 1.4k hours playing this game ive now came to the conclusion that the wars are for the most part scripted.
As i went back to playing as Sturgians right now ive noticed as always that both Battania and Vladians (now with an short war with Khuzaits after some patching) are going in to war with you as they massacre your western side straight from the start. It didnt take them many days to take over those cities.
Its np for me having this kind of action if the ai now should have choosen that way. The only thing that is not alright is that the game feels so scripted and almost same stuff happen all the time. No matter which country youre with usually the same wars breaks out along with some small diversities here and there. Please correct me if i might have seen this wrong but most of my play thrus which is a lot from all sides usually looks the same. I wanted to be sure before i went out with this statement since ive seen some small diversities here and there but still it usually looks the same depending on which faction you join since the pressure is on towards that one instead. -But i could also remember some things wrong to, so i put some reservation for gaps in my memory bank -

Okay okay the first wars of every nation are scripted as the "AI" follows checks and balances for declaration.
OKAY OKAY the first wars typically end the same way.
OKAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY this, in turn, causes the "AI" to follow a set path of wars because of how the initial wars played out.
okay. I guess we accidentally programmed our "AI" to play out a script as it doesn't deal in likelihoods (RNG %) but in absolutes.
Yea its not really an ai then i guess but we're working on it.

All jokes aside, the only thing that changes the course of the script is the player. Which kind of makes it feel like groundhogs day. I can go different directions within the game but im aware of how things would normally play out and if it do X i will always get Y etc.

EDIT: Im just larping about being overly critical. It's an issue but not exactly a huge one atm.
I love MEXICOOOOOOO and everything he has done for my butterlords. Keep the love and the faith <3

Battania as said are using alot of more horses now which makes them utilizing the "auto calculate cheat" that Khuzaits have

Sure, but Vlandia and Sturgia should have some impact on them? I never seen an Garrison before with more than 200 Troops in it.

The best you can do while waiting for 1.5.6 patch is removing the cavalry +20% bonus in simulated battles. There is still snowballing but slower and you have some time to stop Khuzaits or Battania.
