Warrider damage should go both ways.

I mean, it makes sense.
If your riding along on your horse and charge a guy, but suddenly encounter, for instance, an inconvienent bit of pointed metal on a stick, its going to do just as much damage to YOU as it would if you had the same weapon and used it on a guy on the ground.
If this has already been implimented, sorry. But thus far I havent been able to pull it off.

*nods* That's a good idea, and I've already pointed it out... if not that drastic since there is no 'horse' bonus for a defending footman.

Uhm, i noticed one thing during my game... when i am charging someone, even a pitiful river brigand, if he scores a hit on me i get MAJOR damage... and this while wearing full black plate armor.

If i would have been on foot... that hit would not have even hurt a bit.

Has it been just a case?

Hmm, never noticed that, actually. I guess I'll check it... but I've never got heavily injured by a footmen with one hit, that's for sure, and I've got it this way a few times.

It is true that the suggestion would make the combat model more realistic, but still I'd prefer not to do it. For gameplay purposes, I'd like horsemen to have some kind of advantage over footmen.

I checked the codes to see if that's the case but no. It was probably just a series of lucky hits.

Horsemen would have an advantage, just not against guys with very long-reaching weapons.
I dont thing Ive ever managed to hit a guy on a charging horse with anything 100 or under

True. And it makes sense.
Crossbows and axes have a bonus against shields.
Why not have polearms with a bonus against mounted opponents?
Actually, that bonus should technically only apply if you're standing still (basically setting the weapon against the charge).

*nods*
Me and other people already suggested that polearm - wielding opponents should be able to brace it to face a charge. Will add extra challenge to the game .

Plus it would be nice that a single cavalry man could pwn a bunch of foot soldiers.
Perhaps the extra damage would only be to horses? That seems more 'fair' in the scheme of things.
