Warhammer (MESSESD UP, DONT POST IN IT)

I have noticed that there is a warhammer 40k thread, so I decided to make one for Fantasy. Basicaly, you can talk about your armies and what races you collect. You can also say which one is best, but try not to get into a heated argument about it. If you can, post pictures of your best models etc.

As you can see from my avatar and sig, I am an undead player although I only have about 1500 points worth of models, my favourite being Llaith, my zombie dragon.

nathan you know i like to keep things short and you already know about my gobbos because they have kicked your arse many times,
if i remember right i have killed several vampires, countless skellies and a zombie dragon.

Back on topic, I used to play Warhammer Fantasy Battle long ago. I prefered Imperial Army despite it was one of the first and, with new, stronger (Games Workshop had to attract new customers somehow) armies arriving, Imperial army quickly became one of the weakest.
I played very few battles, enjoyed it very much. The bigest was for 10000 points between alliance of Imperium and Dwarves vs Undeads. Alliance suffered crusing defeat although I'd succeded to kill undead giant with one of the electors (softened by cannons before).
And volley gun proved to be extremely usefull.
However as new editions come I lost my contact with the game and I know nothig about current balance of the armies, so Rabbid Potatoe, if you could post some of your experiences regarding this subject you would be very welcome.

i dont realy know about anything earlier than the current edition of warhammer, because I only realy got into it a few months ago, although i bought my first box of skellies in september.

the reason that happened is that spad is round my house and we logged on as him if you dont belive me ask the spud and he will verify that.
when i released my mistake i changed it

if you want to know about the armies frirst tell us what sort you go for e.g magic heavy, fast attcak

and on an altogether more interessting note, Vampire counds and the Khemri are now two separate races, so i can not use bone giants and stuff like that. The worst disaster that ever befel me was a foot of gork on my Vampire lord from turkeys goblin shaman. My army crumbled to dust and all i had left was Llaith. He died soon after.

Well Rabid Poatoe, I never suggest you are Spadrik. Read my post once again and calm down. You will see what...
And to three winged - most I want to know is how the game is balanced currently so I can compare it to my memories. Tham means what army is the stronges, what weakest and why (magic? strong units?)
I would appreciate good analysis of that with some examples maybe?
EDIT: From my experience the real fun with WFB starts from 5000 points armies so everybody can use well developed order of battle.

well it all depends chaos are probably the hardest army its impossible to kill one of those buggers but i prefer orcs and gobbos if one dies there are always more and there is alot of random units which are my favourites. i havent been playing for long but i know some armies are fast which. soon ill have a unit of wolf riders fast cavalry move 20 inches

Sorry i was annoyed with all the allegations of being a smurf. with about an hour on m&b i have calmed down. I realy dont know how the game is balanced because i have not played against a large variety of opponents. In a few days time i should have a rough outline, because i will be playing a lot of games.
