Warband [Steam 1.68] randomly ctd after few minutes in game

Hello
MB Warband constantly crashing to desktop after few minutes in game.
Tried several mods and native...always the same.
With mods it seems to crash earlier but that is randomly.

Sometimes it happens after 10-15min sometimes right after game start.

I tried reinstall several times...did not solve the problem.


It is been a while since i played M&B, there has been several updates since then.
Is there any known ctd-bug i am missing?

A year ago since i played last time, by this time it was really stable on native, viking conquest and several mods (ACOK, ASOIAF, Floris etc.)
Now the game is unplayable!
Please help me with any suggestion.

It doesn't matter if i am on the map or in a scene. The ctd happens randomly after some minutes. Even when game is paused in option screen.

So with several different driver i managed to fix the crash, but now i have every few minutes "display driver has stopped working and has been restored" with a black screen for about 1-2 seconds and then the game continues normally. This error only occurs in M&B Warband no matter if native or mods.

Anyone an idea?
