You can't. The WSE2 client does not support DirectX 7.

Im having trouble with FullInvasion WSE launcher. Crashes on entry and the message says:
ERROR: Failed to load core resource core_textures

I get a crash called critical error "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" when I press play on full invasion 2, didnt have this problem before when i was using 1.6.8.0. Pls help.

I tried WSE2 in Linux through and app called Bottles and it works. There was an issue with saves from another installation of Warband on Linux crashing when running them in WSE2 but I figured out the solution.
So far it works on my Linux machine with no other issues if you run WSE2 in Bottles. It seems like the best way to play Warband today is through WSE2.

When using the Warband Script Enhancer in Linux all of the modules or mods must exclude hyphens because they will cause loading saves to crash and it will probably load the wrong saves from a different module or mod. Its probably best practice to avoid hyphens and other strange characters in the name of module folders or save directories.

Hey K700, the new WSE2 is so cool, thanks for all your hard work on this :smile:

I tried this with the Battle of Europe shaders and for the most part it works very well, but I am getting an issue with water reflections. Any objects (including terrain, flora, even the player/horse legs) that are under the water's surface seem to be casting a reflection "above", so sometimes when you walk around there are huge reflections from nearby objects stretching into the horizon.

For example, this half-sunken ship has the sunken half reflected "above" the water:

This happens on all video settings (as long as reflections are enabled for objects.)

BoE is using screen-space reflections, and overwrites the native ENV sampler which _Sebastian_ is talking about here.

Ideally I want to keep shaders compatible with Native launcher (standard BoE shaders) as well as out-of-the-box WSE2 (BoE+WSE2) - so I'm wondering :
- is it better to try to fix this issue by merging the shaders manually, like in previous WSE2 versions (is this still possible with latest WSE2 launcher?)
- if it is possible to disable only the water reflections from the new WSE2 shaders and bundle these changes inside a module? (I don't even know how WSE2 water reflections are working with only postfx and FXaa files?)

Any advice/info would be very helpful, it looks and performs great aside from this one issue.

I already replace my troops full invasion file with yours but it's still not working.

Most likely you have core_shaders.brf from the old wse2 version. Use original Warband core_shaders.brf

Tried this in Viking Conquest. I noticed that NPCs when equipped with swords, only do thrust attacks. Likewise, when using spears, they never use an overhead thrust. What can I do to fix this?

EDIT: Managed it to fix by adding map free in module_triggers.py and adding map icon of icon_player to module_map_icons.py

Looking forward to it! Oh and also, there are some head gears that keeps the hair visible in the base game. In WSE2, the hairs disappear no matter what. I'd like to keep the hair visible because they just look cool.
