I regularly crash right when joining TG servers without WSE(2), no matter if using flat Native or some adminmod. So, not sure if your issue is really connected to WSE.

iNumPlayersLimit
iNumPlayersLimit takes a value from 2 to 1000. Default is 250. Performance for higher value has never been tested. Different values on client and server break network compatibility (different size of number in bits). 250 - 8 bits, 256 - 9 bits, 1000 - 10 bits. So put this value in the settings of your module and not only to server.
