Warband No Longer Works

I haven't played in awhile, so I decided to start Warband up after downloading 1.127 (had to download from the site, since steam still has 1.126 as the latest version). Now, a message pops up that mentions that I don't have enough video memory.

I don't know why it's doing this, as I've played it plenty of times already. I've tried uninstalling from steam, but that didn't seem to do anything. I'm not sure uninstalling from Steam got rid of everything, since when I installed it again, it still had version 1.127 (even though I had uninstalled). Is there a way to completely uninstall the game?

I'm not sure because I haven't been in your situation even with my 7 years old PC but have you try dx7 mode. Yeah it is much more ugly but may fix problem (even more, with some games you can lower and then rise the settings again and no more problems) .
About Steam, I think Add or remove programs can help, or you need an uninstaller.

Setting everything to low (including DX7) didn't work.

I'm going to see if I can completely remove everything, and just install it again.

Can you recommend a program I could use to get rid of any remaining files?

Is there anything belong go the game or Steam in the [Add or Removes Programs].
You should first try to remove the game with [Add or Removes Programs] and then may be remove Steam, too (really, I hate things like Steam).

As I haven't use any uninstaller it's only my suggest as other software of this company quite well and It's free.
Another  way you can manually delete anything about the game and steam in your computer and your registry, but, yeah, it's hard and danger

Well, it worked after trying again. I then quit to see if it would still worked, and then it messed up again.

I don't get it, since I didn't even change anything. It worked, then it failed.

I think the box on splashscreen  "load textures on demand" allways needs to be checked.Now close this tread.
