WARBAND NATIVE LEAGUE SEASON 5 - TEAM & PLAYER RANKINGS
The following lists were devised as a means of measuring not only the level of the players within each team yet also their potential in a given circumstance. The order of the teams is the same as their current rankings in the WNL. The ratings are based on performance from the past few weeks not only in the WNL5 itself but also across other servers and in other tournaments - the rankings should be up to date enough that they coincide with the results being seen in the tournament. However, it is worth noting that individual player rating is not the sole factor in any given match result, as teamplay, communication and the general atmosphere of the team plays a huge role in defining the quality of a team. The list was initially made by myself and went through a number of stages before it was posted - thanks to Cleric for opinions and help with players I was unfamiliar with, thanks to Tardet for help with the Renegades roster, thanks to SaBo for help with the FTW roster and thanks to CommanderSPQR for his opinions. A number of different lists are devised so that hopefully you can get a good idea of how different teams stack up against each other.
The final section is based on a team fielding 4 infantry, 2 archers and 2 cavalry - a standard set up for a closed map. Creating an 'ideal' team for each map type would take too much time and so this can be used as a basis, however, it should not be difficult for you to come up with your own 'dream teams' using the players in the rosters there, as simply taking different numbers of players from the different classes should allow you to devise your own ideal teams for each map type.
