[Warband MP Modding] "Native Mods"

Hey there. I've just been thinking about making a small mod for warband, i've noticed a few servers seem to have server-side only mods (so no downloading modules from webpages) and was wondering what data/functionallity is stored on/used from the Server and which is Client Side. Obviously models and worlds are client based, but what about weapon and faction stats etc?

Also, auto-downloading files via the game client, can any type of file be transfered as long as it is under a certain size or is it only world files?


After doing some reading, I'm going to change my question:

How can people play your mod without needing to download anything, for example the minor mods to admin controls people make? Do you just call you module "Native" and then not modify the client events, only the server events
