Warband in 3d is amazing! NOW WITH 3D SCREENSHOTS!

True
Actually, Fallout 3 would probably look pretty good using IZ3D's anaglyph, as it's already composed mostly of the colors that are allowed to pass through

For the all-out Nvidia show, you need a monitor like http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/monitors/display/samsung-sm2233rz.html , and the Nvidia shutterglasses. These appear as clear glass, but are able to go black from an electrical impulse. With the aid of an infrared transmitter connected to the second video output of your card (2 are required), it manages to achieve the proper synchronization. In action, each of the 'lenses' go opaque and clear 60 times a second; when one is clear, the other is opaque. Meanwhile, the screen displays the left and right images in perfect sync. Apart from a halving of the light intensity (this follows when light is shut out from each eye half the time), vision and colors are perfect and ghost-free, barring any desynchronization. The flickering is virtually imperceptible; most monitors run at 60Hz, and don't seem to flicker, after all.

I am planning on upgrading to a GTX 580 and shutter glasses from an ATi HD 4870.  I already have this exact monitor, and it is beautiful, without any 3D, given the ability to display 120 images per second.

Now thing is, I'm here, which means I'm playing Warband, which means I'm playing ONLY warband (heh, what else does a gamer need?)  ...  Oh yeah, Warband in 3D!!!

So...  Is it compatible with the shutter glasses setup?  That's what matters to me right now...  This thread is 10 pages long, I didn't read every single post, since they mostly seem to relate to the tinted glasses setup.

Help?

I can't get this to work.  I have run the setup wizard and everything seems fine.  I hit ctrl - t in-game to activate the 3d, but nothing happens.  What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

Yeah, about double the strain, because it renders two images, as opposed to one.

That being said, you can usually improve performance by turning all the fancy graphics options, and textures quality to the lowest setting, because you won't really notice much difference with the 3D on.

Hah, this reminds me:

3Dporn.jpg
NSFW HAS STICKMEN NUDITY

I'm not about to click on it, but he probably won't get banned.  Most users get a warning first time around.

Lmao I love it when people make accusations with no knowledge of the actual contents of the spoiler box.

The link says porn...I'm not (and neither are several other forum members, though the majojrity will probably click faster than ever) about to click on it.

Posting links to porn on this forum is against the rules, and the fact that you didn't "embed" it, make it all the more suspicous.  One has to keep his guard up.

Worked like a champ for me with almost no effort.

Went into nvidia control panel, activated 3d, selected anaglyph mode.

Put on a pair of cheap paper 3d glasses, and fired up mount and blade.

only weirdness I had was my compass was only on one side.

Uh... So... Guys, sorry to break the discussion about stickmen pr0n here, but does anyone have an answer to my question?

Does this work for ati cards too?
Rly would like to try this.. must be amazing.
ATi has their own 3D technology and from what I have heard it is not very good at all yet.  It will probably be very good eventually, but it was just introduced this month, so really, it's too early to tell.  But to be frank, after having experienced the nVidia 3D and knowing that the ATi isn't going to be ready anytime soon, I have decided that my next upgrade will be with nVidia. And this kinda sucks because my current HD4870 1GB is my 5th upgrade that is from ATi, needless to say I have been a dedicated supporter. But for 3D currently nVidia is without competition.

Eyefinity is very cool and all that, but I don't have room for 3 monitors...
