Warband in 3d is amazing! NOW WITH 3D SCREENSHOTS!

You need to have either vista/win7 OS and a Nvidia card w/ the latest drivers. If you have this then you probably already have the steroscopic drivers (they come w/ the graphic drivers). If for some reason you don't have the steroscopic drivers you an get them off of Nvidia's site.

I already stated that you need red+blue glasses and the avatar ones will not work.


I discovered that the screenshot function in warband takes 3d screenshots! Here is one I just took (you'll need red+blue 3d glasses to see it poperly):
Also note that it was reduced to jpeg so there was some quality loss and I don't have the convergence tuned perfectly.

i took the advice and got the only set of red blue glasses i could find, at walmart inside the hanna montana movie in 3d LOL. 


Its AMAZING  the 3d is surreal and it actually made me a better soldier cause i can judge the distance to swing my sword at much better since its all in 3d also shooting arrows is a breeze now no more trouble trying to get the arch on the shot just right!

Thank you OP!!! also loaded up some other games and it works great there too, all this time all i needed was a cheap set of glasses !

Yeah it works with a hundred plus games (I looked through the list).

Are they red and blue? Avatar ones will not work. Do you see red and blue double images when you look at the screenshots?

Mine came from Hong Kong and took over a moth to arrive.


This is a fun one. I put my finger at the edge of the spear and pulled my glasses down and my finger was a foot away from my monitor.

turn off HDR and bloom effects it doesn't work well with 3d

Yeah I took those at pretty high depth and didn't tunr them it to focus all the way. If you are not used to lookig at games in 3d it can take a bit to get used to.

You can view these with any paper 3-D glasses. I use the ones that come with the 3-D Blu-ray movies. Trick is..ya have to wear em opposite of normal..*shrug* (same goes for using em when you play games)

Hey guys this looks quite interesting but I have abit of a problem.

The problem for me seems to be my moniter. I have the drivers and card and I can easily get some glasses of the internet but everytime I try to turn on the wizard or stereoscopic vision my screen flashes the "out of range" box. My moniter is a HD TV. Is there a resolution you have to be at to run 3D? I'm on 1280x1024 at the moment.

You're thinking about the more advanced version which costs $200 for the glasses alone and $300 for a special 3d monitor. You can use a basic, weaker version of the 3d with the newer nvidia drivers, a 8800gt card or better and basic red/blue glasses. The kind you get from a magazine or movie or whatever. Im still looking for a pair myself, lol. Apparently, I can't buy them from Walgreens or Walmart and i'm not going to order them online.

Just go buy a 3-D movie ( Up, Caroline, etc.) they come with 4 sets of glasses in them.
Just make sure the Magenta is over your left eye with those paper glasses.

I'll pass and go to Walmart, maybe try to just sneak them out of the case or something. Not paying $10-20 for a crap movie just for glasses, lol.

i really wanna know if it can handle this, looks so freaking amazing, and yah, basic paper glasses to the job, but those plastic ones could be better, gonna order them once i get my new videocard too...

but for the moment, i wanna know if my ati x1600 has this :/
