Agreed upon, I've taken several of their cities solo with next to no troops...

Let's see..... too occupied with Khergits harassing their villages.....  unable to counter the Nords siege cuz they are bunch of pussies.... too chicken to feast like Harlaus the fat.... all their archer lines sucks (they simply do) except the last tier.... knights and guards 99% of the time spawns with no shield but extra axes they never use..... have I missed anything else?

Nope. That defines why so few players play as them pretty well. It's why I always modify them.

That may be, but personally the reason I don't play as the Vaegirs is because I never get an offer to join them, I mean I wander through the lands, gather tons of xp, renown, and fighting men, yet still I've never once gotten a call from Yaroglek to join him...

Yes! God Yes! I played Swadia the first time I switched over from old M&B since it was a faction I'd never done before and we got roflstomped by Nords, and Rhodoks and just about everyone else all at once! I think the problem is the factions declare war with whoever is touching them and without very much effort every nation in the game can be rolling over Swadia. I had an epic last stand against the Nords once, destroying both our armies to the last man, only to have the Rhodoks swarm in and take everything that was left and capture almost every fleeing and broken lord. I just stuck 1000+ troops in a castle with my wife and nailed down the hatches. 

It also doesn't help that the shape of their land makes it impossible to defend, at least everyone else has a corner they can back into but not Swadia. Long and narrow making it easy to cut in half and hell to tredge across.

My original plan for this was to make fun of how the Vaegirs were like 3-4 other kingdoms rolled up into one, then I noticed that they were the 2nd oldest.
