Warband doesn't run?

正在查看此主题的用户

Yesterday i was on Warband. I closed it and then i opened it an hour later, only for it to not start at all. The Setup doesn't appear, infact steam tells me that i am running the game... FOR ONLY THREE SECONDS, so it says that i run the game for three seconds before it shows that i am online, showing that i am no longer playing it..

I don't understand, i verified the cache.. Uninstalled everything manually and cleanly but no fix. Tried Directx and nope... Didn't work either.. If it is possible, do any of you guys have another solution that i can try?

Thank you.

Hey
I had the exact same problem, and I know how frustrating it is not being able to play when you really, really want to.
Now what I did to fix the problem and it hasn't happened since is: Open up task manger>Go to "Start-up"> and just disable all of them.
Quite the strange fix but it worked for me. Now if that doesn't work either you'll want to delete the rgl_config file it's in the "mount&blade Warband" file in your documents.
Hope this fixed your problem, best of luck.
Seán.

Thank you for your response but sadly, both of those didn't work either.

The First Fix just didn't work in itself but the second fix was a bit tricky. Since i removed Warband and installed it again, verified the cache.. I believe the stuff that i had in documents are also totally gone.... So i couldn't even remove RGL_CONFIG because it didn't even exist anymore..

This is the strangest problem i have ever encountered -_-..

I must say it is the strangest I've encountered too. Explain what happeneds when you launch

rgl_config.txt is created when you launch the game.. could you check if you have rgl_log.txt in your installed Warband folder, and if you do, paste what's inside it here?

could you download non-steam version, install and try running that?

The demo located in Taleworlds?

Either way i should try to install it anyway, to at least get rgl_config.

Note: This has to be a joke.. When i try to download the non-steam version, it doesn't even download.. This is a really bad day and i don't know what's going on with everything about Warband.. So many fixes and solutions i had tried for straight two days..

It's not a demo if you have bought the game. If you have Steam version, you can run the non-Steam game too.

Im having the same problem too when i get on steam its starts to run and then it just stops. i keep pressing play on steam but it won,t run.
Can anyone plz help me im in a regiment and i don't want to get kicked.

I've been having this exact same problem, nothing at all has worked so far. I've tried rebooting steam, rebooting the computer, deleting rgl_config, running Warband as an administrator, running in compatibility mode, uninstalling windows 10 updates, but still nothing. The steam verson doesn't start, neither does the non-steam version. I even tried launching through WSE, but that didn't work either. I did check what the WSE crash log says, but I don't think it will be any help.

Edit: Right, yeah, I deleted my profiles.dat, and that fixed the issue. No Idea why.

I've got the same problem - Steam version. I click Play, it pops up the little box saying 'Preparing to launch Mount & Blade: Warband', Steam says it's running... then it seemingly quits. I don't even get to module selection.

Tried deleting profiles.dat, didn't work for me.
This is really strange.

EDIT: Tried the clean boot. Didn't seem to work. Tried disabling startup processes. Didn't seem to work. Going to try reinstalling/updating drivers later.

What the **** is this, even? How? Why?

UPDATE: I think I found a fix! Clean out your Modules folder! At least, it worked for me, will amend post if it fails me in the near future.

I decided to see if it was just Warband that was playing up, so I loaded up WFAS. It worked, so I figured the issue HAD to be something with Warband.

On a whim, I decided to move everything in the Modules folder aside from Native (and the DLCs) into a subfolder, so the game could only find a handful of modules when it loaded up. It worked! Somehow!

Hopefully this works for someone else.
