Warband crashes

My old pc ran warband fine; only crashing on 300+ men battles and on huge mods.
(winXP 32bit, 2.6ghz single core, 1.5gb RAM, Nvidia 6200 256mb graphics card) but my new PC crashes for about 30 secs every time i load up a menu; I havent even started the game yet. The new PC is MUCH better in every way but can't handle this game?

Any ideas why my new pc keeps crashing? Do i need to run the game in XP compatibility mode thing?

Probably not,I use win7 x64 and it's all about settings.If your game crashes on loading,try to "check" Load Textures On Demand in config. menu,that solved my problem!
