so in the game when a nation declares war nothing really happens for a while. the lords should start fighting and sieging a lot more than they do. such as when Nords declare war on Rhodoks there should always be at least 2 battles going on between them. It would make the game harder and in some cases easier.

I think this might unbalance the game a lot. In about 10 days the war would stop, due to a lack of army.
In Warband whenever (for example) The Nords start sieging Cullmar castle, within 2 days a army of Rhodoks lords is going to Cullmar castle to break the siege.

So if there is nearly continuously fighting, factions would be greatly weakened within a matter of days.

Aye, some minor skirmishes involving the scout parties and patrols of yore would be great. As it is the fighting is indeed always full battles.

Which scout parties or patrols? Haven't spotted a single of of them in native, normal and Warband.
And many small skirmishes still make heavy losses.

Before .900 iIrc.

Well, IIRC were at version 1.011, and they are neither in Warband.
