i have read these books and when this mod comes out i'll play it for sure.
but how about sequels? quze yiou have also dragons of the star and books like that who are set in the time ofter this war. it those books the dark queen returns and leads a small redheaded woman and a minotaurus for conquests. it would be fun to play in the great sieges and fight along mina
 
i have no scripting experiance since python isnt working on my pc i well give you the link of the maker to pm

Did this get him muted? Its pretty retarded not realising how to copy/paste, but not that bad  :?

Anyway I have a lizard man head, but it doesn't have a decent UV map and won't match human helmets without some adjustments, if that bothers you. You can have it if you want, and maybe I'll work on it later after I've done some more stuff for giants vs dwarves.

Why? Have you tried to compile the mod system? If yes, tell us what error do you get? You will probably find it is working but you just don't know how it works.
 
Congratz I know how to make dragons fly.... but my way is a cheap way out.


well I know how to make horses fly... thats all, but they are the same as they are mounts.

Only problem is that it is very bad... you just make the horses jump very long, and high.  You could make it so horses dont get fall damage and do it my cheap way... but it is very ugly looking.

This DOES work as you can specify the units that can do it. Only problem is if a NPC or AI gets hold of it, but I have NEVER seen an NPC or AI use the "Jump" Function on a horse ?


Oh well just use this for a clean way out if you get stuck.


I had a fiddle around, but I could not seem to get the horses to do a "double jump"    This could mean you could hold the spacebar down and do lots of fast mini jumps. This SHOULD be perfect flying.

(I mean an animation that loops but can be stopped and started without a trigger)

I am proud and happy that someone actually likes the idea if you guys ever become beta testers you can join the Knighthood(well created for the beta lol). I even got Sir Timothy to make the banner in his banner pack and altho I am in no position to ask this can you feature Me and a few of the knights in the beta guild in the MOd my friend just a small part would be nice of you.

once the game is out but we are just Solamnic knights sorry if u thought anything else.

and also I will try to support the mode anyway I can if that helps my friend I know few people who could help.

I mean IF you can somehow (I dont know how, I dont use Python, C++ is me) link the jumps together to ignore the ground, you can make them fly. Also instead of having an animation when you press jump, it will constantly go so it doesnt look choppy.

You will get all 3 dimensions of movement. Hence, you will be flying.


It is just implementing the actions for jumping from the game, so that it is easier to make than create a whole new one.


You can get perfect flying, though there will be no pitch on model. (the model turns but not on a set radial point) So it will always be facing the same level.

If you need clarification on any of the names on the maps, feel free to ask and I can look it up. Also again, keep in mind that these maps represent the world during the age of mortals, so not all locations are accurate for the time period of the mod.

Schallsea: Capital is Schallsea. The island is populated mostly by humans, including Que-nal barbarians, an 'offshoot' of sorts of the Que-Shu barbarians of Abanasinia, Abanasinians, the tribal Wemitowuk (pacifist, vegetarian island natives) and Solamnics. Trade is in foodstuffs, fish (for the Wemitowuk), coinage and pilgrims. Geographical locations are the barren hills (center), where nothing grows. The Wemitowuk believe that silver dragons cursed the area because their ancestors angered the dragons. There are many small villages along the coast, and the island is dotted with small forests as well. The major population center is the port of Schallsea, with a poulation around 10,000, and the only bay on the island deep enough to permit large ships to enter and drop anchor. Notably also is the Citadel of Light, though it doesn't exist during the War I think.

Kind of strange that the book says the Wemitowuk are vegetarian, but trade in fish. I guess it just goes to show that a lot of the detail stuff is not exactly scripture.



 
I love DL. I don't think the dragons have to neccesarily fly. You could make them flightless young ones i guess, but g'luck to you. The Jump idea could lead somewhere.

Thought that meant semi-vegetarian, like some people still eat white meats like fish and chicken, even when vegetarian. (Subliminal Meaning?)

Im just playing around, you can test it out yourself by editing the files with a text editor + python.

I dont have the "correct models" I am just using default horses.

 
I'm back, I see that you have kept this post active. Thanks to that people that are helping. That idea of jumping may be a good solution to making dragons fly. If you do a final script make me know so I can try.

I'm going to go on with qualinesti troops (make their items and faces). I have made an elven hair, but I have to improve it

I'm guessing the heroes will be a strong as vassals right
and will they be different types as in chromatc and mettallic dragons

anyone who like dragonlance wouldyou like to join the Solamnic Knights clan the other clans are under estimating us but if we had more men it would prove them that the Knights are stronger than they are because the beta Knighthood needs all the glory it can get.
