War Crys and general battle sounds

Hi. Obviously this game is brilliant, but one thing I would like to see improved a tad is the sound during battles. For one thing there should be more shouting etc and you should be able to have a "war cry" when you charge.

It's the one thing when you have 2 cavalry hordes thundering towards each other that I miss in this game.

Yes, sounds are a little too subdued at times in combat. There's almost an eerie silence except for the occasional grunt as a strike is scored. I too would like some additional battle chatter and sound effects. (Incidentally, there is a sound mod available with some additional sound effects, see mod forum)

Sometimes I think my indifference to certain weapons like lances arises from the virtual silence in using them: couched lance hits convey no clang! or bamm! of a heavy hitting charge, it's practically a silent movie.

I think that at this point the battle sounds are acceptable but very improvable. Enjoying the game, as always.

Yep. Sounds in battle would be great! Watching enemies screaming as they run from a horde of scotsmen in nothing but kilts who are shouting there faces off, wielding huge broadswords.... ah, if only, that would possibly be the best part in any game I've ever played. If only you could incorperate facial expressions...

M&B2 should use Valve's Source engine, heheh.
