Want to try this mod but...

I can't get it to start. I've D/L'd the main install and extracted the zip update into the module 1257 AD file but every time it loads it takes awhile and get to about the load data/settings and crashes with an application error? Suggestions?

At the risk of sounding crazy did you check the bug report thread 
This mod has a s*** load of textures I wouldn't be surprised if it crashes on low end pc, for me personally it was lack of virtual memory.

No it loads all the textures, then afterwards crashes... And I didn't see anything in the bug reports that matched my issue.

Yes and yes.

Turns out it was a bad D/L. Reinstalling off a fresh D/L fixed it  Thanks for help though.

Alright then, can anyone explain why my game will suddenly stop and switch between two frames? The game keeps on playing but the screen stops. The only way to bring it back is by alt tabbing and re entering.

hmm... you have this issue only with this mod or in native too?
strange. you mean that after you alt tab and alt tab again to WB it works normally? what kind of a video card do you have and how much memory?

Well, sometimes (in native and other mods also) my screen turn's black or things just start glitching. A few alt-tabs usually works for me.

How long have you had your Video Card?  When was the last time you got a can of air and cleaned out your PC?  My Video Card started acting up, there was dust on and around the video card, cleaned it out and now its all good as new.  If its acting up in Native as well, then most likely your problem is not related to this mod.  Anyways if you opt to cleaning out your system then do that on your own risk.

I only have this problem with 1257 AD. I read your thread about video memory, but I think it may be to risky to try. I'll look into it.

The mod looks very promising but i have the same problem as OP. When the loading is almost finished it just CTDs without any error message. Already tried to re-download the mod and left out the music (just 1275ad and the hotfix), nothing works for me.

I only have this problem with 1257 AD. I read your thread about video memory, but I think it may be to risky to try. I'll look into it.

it's not risky at all as long as you follow the very simple directions (seriously, any computer illiterate can do it). even if your system would start to act strangely you can always revert to previous settings (there's an explanation on how to do it).

you've left no info on anything. leave your hardware specs (processor, video card, ram, system (32bit or 64bit)). do you have "Load textures on demand" ticked? if so - good. if not - tick it. i had the same problem and it helped. and who the hell is OP?

I had the same proplem as OP.
I just downloaded it again and now it works fine... I also deleted the main_Copy.bmp file
