Want better graphics?

The game has really good graphics if you download the Graphic Enhancement mod. I tried the HDR mod as well but it wasn't really good so I ditched that. However, going from standard to Enhanced and then trying standard I almost cried at the graphics. Its such a huge change at how much better it looks. I also have everything set at max and AAx2 with decent computer (150 battlesize). I would HIGHLY suggest that anyone who wants a better looking game to get this mod right now (I also have a sound enhancement mod which makes everything sound cooler/realistic).

Note for admins: Please don't move this threat to the mod forums as I see this fit for the general forums for anyone who wants better graphics.

Tis' true, but my computer isn't a great machine, so it can run it, but very slowly.

This was included in one of my mods I played... it's definitely the upgrade some of these eye candy players need. One of the big hits to this game from the reviewers was the non-enhanced graphics. This mod fixes that. It's worth it if you can run your computer on it.

I got it, but I guess I am so used to it, it is normal for me.
Every now and then I wonder if it is actually working... I should go back to standard, then I will probably notice a huge difference.

It is true the graphics is poor. Game is quite old, and made as a low budget project, so no suprise. But I do not find it any problem, thanks to great playability of the game I do not focus on graphics at all.

I think so to. I hope though, that I can put my graphics down on multiplayer, so I can have better fps.

Im not sure where the link is but the name is Graphical Enhancement 2.5 so just search that. I used to play with min settings on my laptop but then that fried and I have a decent gaming pc now and it looks like a whole new game (still with the awesome gameplay). Graphical Enhancements is different than Colorful textures, as it makes the field in game and troops look a lot better. I have a custom horse texture which makes horses look better as well so I suggest you go hunting for mini mods that are compatible with 1.011 and pick what you would like.

you should also note the the graphical enhancement mod is more "realistic" and improves the textures on most default models while the colourful textures brightens up the thing and as stated by the title makes everything more colourful, but it does not improve the texture meaning it will not affect performance so it will look much better if you dont have a buffed up computer.

Yea, I wasn't sure what Colorful textures did.

I have a 7300LE + AMD 64 X2 CPU + 1 GB and I run everything on max! DirectX9 + Pixel Shader + AA x4 +Ultra Shadows and all the other options on highest and I still get 30~40 FPS! 




Edit: I only set grass to 15% cuz' get lost with so many grass.
