/'nʊə(ɹ)dz/ (as opposed to, say, /'nɔːʀdz/ (I think))  Nords "What else can I say? Sounds like North but with a D"

/'kɜːʀɡɪtz/  Khergits "Ker gits maybe... git that sounds like jit"

/'ʀəʊdɒkz/  Rhodoks "Ro dahks (ah sounds like "aw" in saw)"

I think that's what it all means. Not 100% sure.

IPA is used by linguists, amongst others, to describe the way words are spoken using an accepted code of the sounds produced in speech, since a certain word to one person may be pronounced differently to speakers of other dialects or languages (for example, while Nords appears straightfoward, some may rhoticize the 'r' sound while others may not, so drawing a comparison with 'cord' would not accurately reflect the way in which you pronounce it). The easiest way to decode my phonetic spellings of the various words would be to use Wikipedia's IPA Chart as a pronunciation guide, which is what I checked mine against.
