Apparently they're merging

I guess I shouldn't be too worried, though. As far as I know, Blizzard handled things well when Vivendi Universal acquired them years ago.

So, what does this mean for the production of Starcraft 2? Will activision now help Blizzard in making it? Or will the team making it just stay the same?

Yeah, but why would they do that when they make so many billions of dollars off of it yearly?
Hopefully they make it into more of a pile of junk and up the cost to get more business thus driving people away or they use poor management of servers and sucky customer service. Anyway I just hope WOW dies. It has taken 2 of my friends already. They are shells of themselves spending 6-7 hours on it a day obsessing over the stats and are always tired because they have been up late playing it.

I've always liked Blizzard and continue to love 'em to death. Played and enjoyed everything from the original Warcraft to the most recent World of Warcraft. Oh, and I partially blame your friends for becoming addicted-- they should realize that real life > video games.

The problem with Outside is that they're always just adding **** to it without telling anyone. And does anyone really want all the goddamn guild politics? It just makes me want to quit sometimes to get away from the noobs.

It's annoying they mention all games companies owned by Vivendi are merging. They still own Sierra too, who are actually capable of producing decent games, unlike the other two

Ahem...

Activision is kick ass.

Serria did make "The Incredible Time Machine" which was kickass.

Fair point. Especially since they included roadside bombs for the red teams in the Gulf War II mission
