Recruit
I know this is probably in the works for the final release, but I wanted to talk about it anyway.

The way the characters look and move seems far too blundering. I know it's early days, but it looks so unnatural. I think the running and movements (including attacking) need to be redone to make this game look more fluid. I mean, if you're attacking someone you're not going to move so slowly that they can so easily anticipate your moves. It's hard to explain, but I'm sure you all know what I mean. Maybe I'll post up a video, record me and my friend fighting and show the difference between a real fight and Mount and Blade. I'm sure that will be amusing for some.

Sorry to be so blunt, but I think that this would be an important step to making the game look better. I know that graphics are not important in a game, but they make a hell of a lot of difference in commercial world game sales.

No, you aren't blunt, and I was about to suggest this myself
The postures of the soldiers really need to be redone, now they're just standing up straight, not like they're fighting.
The animations also need to be redone, the fighting needs to look more ferocious(sp)..
I suggest checking some of the stances and animations of oblivion..

Elder Scrolls Oblivion does look good, and they made an issue there about making sure that characters did look like they were fighting. Maybe something simpler to look at, take a look at games like Devil May Cry, maybe some other things like Metal gear Solid even, and you'll see what I mean.

But yes, the characters must be redone, including the faces.
