Vista issue about modding

Hello, I wanted to learn modding today but then I ran into some weird thing, says it creates the conversation.txt but actually it doesn't, maybe it's because Vista won't let it create new text files. Added as much data as possible on this image. Any ideas what might be wrong =( ?

I believe its because you have M&B installed in your Program Files folder or aren't running it as an admin.  People have reported this issue when trying to use my troop editor, here's a summary that I added to that page.

Windows Vista - Several users have had issues trying to use the unofficial editors (and mods in general) with the Windows Vista operating system. I do not have Vista but most likely you will need to start this editor with Admin rights or it will prevent you from modifying text files.  I believe this functionality is a security feature called VirtualStore that primarily protects the C:\Program Files\ folder so I think problems installing mods or using editors in Vista is most common for people who have the game installed into that directory.  Some people have apparently re-installed M&B into a different directory and found that this worked as well.

Hmm thanks, I read that post when I was looking for some stuff for my new coming mod. I will test it ASAP and edit it if it works.

EDIT/// Had to move it under My Documents since Vista just didn't let me copy it into  C:/ . And now, it actually created the conversation file, thanks.

What I do is save it to my desktop, then move it to the appropriate folder. . . .

Simple work around.

Look in the "Compatability Files" tab. 

It is kind of annoying having to copy and paste a bunch of .txts before releasing something, but it isn't difficult or anything.
