I'm interested in a trip to Israel and Lebanon at some point to visit the locations of the crusades, to get a feel for the landscape and climate and gain a sense of what it must have been like. Has anyone here been there and toured the place? What locations stood out to you? How developed is the area now and how much of the medieval stuff is left? Were the locals friendly?
