I have gained a village from my lord, and of course it is the poorest. How do i make it so the village gains wealth and isn't poor anymore?

-Make sure it doesn't get looted.
-Build More Buildings
-Hire more people. (ie. Treasurer or Judge.)

I have lost my far away village just after I invested in it a lot. ARGH.

But it turned out to be a great thing as my gracious king gave me a city instead a few months later. Nice guy. Great guy. Praise and worship!

Now my question: Can I get another village, preferable the one belonging to my town? If yes: How? I know how to get a chance to get the next town or castle, but how would it work with a village?

try doing quests for them. especially the bring cattle herds one
