Greetings all, I've been playing for a while now but this is my first post, I used the forums a lot and love the all the mods. I have no idea how to mod, I've done some the tweaks the magelord posted, love them! but most of this seems over my head and beyond my attention span.
My question is this: has anyone tried or done a mod in which you can fortify a village so that it can be defended and used like a castle or town? I think this would add a lot of value and practical use to the village. I had played one mod where you could station troops in the village and upgrade the village elders but I while in the village and attacked it made no difference... the troops didn't help... lame and once the you 'retired them in the village' your troops you didn't have to pay for them anymore but you couldn't use them either... great idea, but I think stepping up the use and viability of the village would change the dynamics of game play...
On that note why can't we capture a village by itself? there are lots just sitting around and in reality the bandit make use of them, why could we say move in set up shop build it up and start our rule from there...
One more thing... there seems to be a lot of wasted space... top left corner (north west) by the nords... cross the river build a fort so that you can horde troops or gear or start a slave run village with your prisoners... make some money...
Just some thoughts please let me know if I have missed something, i have used the search function, so don't be a prick and point it out...
