2. the shape of the head lets it hook round body part like the neck, leg and arms and to pull shield out of peoples hands.

Overhead attacks if held should have a chance to hook the shield if the enemy is turtling. Or something like that.

You can already thrust with the long axes. As for hooking, I imagine it would be hard to code, considering how even normal animations can get weird with people spinning and feinting all over the place. And kicking gives you an ability somewhat similar in effect.

Hooking is also good for dismounting knight, that is why halberds sometime have a hook on the end

depends on how it's implemented of course. Perhaps you have to make a dragging movement to drag a hooked fellow. I assume rather advanced ragdolls'd be necessary for that, though.

I think that hooking moves could be added to the next mount and blade.
How would it work?

An easy way to do it would be to do the same thing as the "crush through blocks" feature, except only for overhead attacks, and the enemy will drop his shield on a successful hooking. It might even be possible for a modder to do that in Warband, with the WSE and some badass modding skills.

For the cavalry hooking... There are several mods having a feature where you can dismount enemies from horseback by hitting them. Add that to halberds and similar weapons, and voila.

I'd like a chance to hook a shield on a hit, which lasts for .5 to 1 seconds, which turns the shield into directional block for that time.

What about side slashes when you aim down low at their legs, like shown in the last picture? That would be exceptionally funny if you pulled back and they slipped and fell on their arse. :>
Then you swoop in for the kill with a crushing overhead slash to the stomach.

There are lots of things that aren't in M&B. Grappling, for instance. And so long as grappling is not coded, I see no reason why hooking should be.

Most warriors would use grappling is when they lost all of there weapons. Because try grab someone who has a sword or a spear would get him kill. That is why I think it is not code. Hooking someone with your weapon is safer and easier.

Hooking and similar stuff could be a lot simpler, mechanically, than grappling.

Grappling is extremely common whether you are armed or not. Hooking someone with your weapon, for example, IS a way to grapple while armed. You can hook in just about the same fashion with a longsword, by the way, using the Mordschlag grip. But some examples of armoured grappling:

Simpler, sure, but technically it is a grappling move, and unbalancing if we're suddenly going to allow this for axe-wielders and nothing else. You can hook with swords as well, for example, but programming that is going to be a nightmare.
