This thread is about VC patch, not WB patch. Different things.

I suggest you look at the main support subforum for Warband and look for the 1.165 thread there to ask questions.

1.165 is out of beta.

1.02 is still in beta.

If you are not using the beta you gonna play 1.165 + 1.01. Start your game and check the version tag for VC.

There are two different versions here: game version (you see that with the launcher) and the module version (you see that with the game menu).

Brytenwalda takes 4 minutes at most to load for me but VC takes almost 2 hours to load then when it finally starts it lags to bad to play. I'm not the only one with this issue.

It takes less than 60sec for me. You have some major issue there if it is taking 2 hours. Try support forum and post all your details there.

Anyay those are all screenshots around the Friese territory which have stuck ships. One of them is the Denmark army heh.

Just so you know, there are more examples. Played a little more and now there are some more farmers stuck out at see all around the area, it isn't just one spot but many spots where they get stuck.
 
Will download this beta affect any other mods or DLCs that we play (as in making MP mods like Peristent World or Full Invasion 2 inplayable).

current beta is only for VC (the module/DLC). So nope.

Just keep in mind that they may release a new warband beta in the future tho (version 1.166) and that could affect your games.
 
Did any of you get a virus downloading 1.02? I got a virus the same day I downloaded it, but I have download some other files on the same day. I want to make sure I don't get a virus downloading the 1.02 version.
 
my game is now lagging like hell on global map like worse than ever unplayable really, ime running the beta patch all updated and everything, funny because before the latest hotfix yesterday everything was running smoothly before that damn hotfix and I cannot roll back to 1.01 because the divisions have not been fixed which is also unplayable if anybody can confirm that divisions are working in the normal game not the beta that would be marvellous because right now I cant play on this campaign map its unbearable and I was really starting to like the story too I had just completed the dan turau quest.
 
Since the latest changes to the beta my campaign map performance has dropped substantially - and i almost never had issues even at launch.

This is a post with screen shot and us talking about this bug. It seems to be a bug with ai not landing and just trying to sail through the land. Since they can't go through land they just endlessly run into the ground. It is either a pathing bug or a bug where some ai don't know how to make land fall. Either way it's another game breaking bug as lords will get stuck in the ocean.

i too am experiencing exactly this error after the latest update
 
Disregard the previous message, I have also now encountered the ships getting stuck (travelling to non-port cities/castles/villages), in a second new save.

FI2 is unaffected. Somehow the Napoleonic Wars mini-modification: the epic enhancement mod did get affected for black skybox and weird animation bug. Which I have found the fix to. Otherwise no other mods should be affected.
 
I started a new game eager to try out this 1.02 beta. Unfortunately upon returning from the monastery quest I discovered the quest giver in his ship stuck on the coast. It would be fine if I had a ship at that point, so i could speak to him and further the story, but all I have is the starter dagger, which makes it quite hard to earn any money considering that I can't get the money given on the next quest to get some weapons or armour. I have restarted twice and it happened each time.

But, since this patch, crashes are even more frequent. At least for me, I don't know if this is common.
 
Good job with game it looks very good and i am sure you will sort out the bugs :grin:

Odin's Cave isn't giving the Bandit Sword in Sandbox Mode. There is a message that you looted it but you don't actually get the sword.
