I'm liking a lot of the work you guys are putting into the mod, keep up the good work!
One idea though: It's nearly impossible to stay on good terms with both Christians and Pagans. While I DO think it should be difficult, I hope we can get some way to at least stay on equitable terms with both. Monasteries and Hofs are full of treasure, surely (particularly large) bandit parties would attempt to raid them on occasion, perhaps we can enjoy a popularity boost by intervening?
I have minor gripes about documentation for various 'specials'; Still not entirely certain what ability set makes a character a Berserker, I've managed to unlock 'Inspiring' trait, but I have no idea what good it does, apart from making people shout on command. Also I've heard of other specials like 'Skirt Chaser' (alright, make 5 ladies 'love' you, no mention what counts as 'love', 100 influence?) and 'dungeon master' (5 lords in dungeon, fair enough, but what's the BENEFIT?) I've tried going through game files, but nothing.
And my absolute biggest gripe is the new story arc, The last Tuatha de Danann, come on guys! You gave us an engaging new character (given the competition) and a TERRIBLE resolution.
Hi Ponder,
Lets go point by point.
1-Getting well with both religion: the intention was to make you choose one of the religions. But you can pay the gothi and priest for that purpose.
2- There are 3 "Traits" depending which skills/attributes is the higher one. Since the players tend to try to be a "strong" man, everyone usually get the "Berserker" one. Not everything is life is about Tanks hahahahaha The other traits are about "achievement" when you get lovers, prisoners...etc
Lovers: characters from the opposite sex with whom you have a "relationship" (check the character panel->relation)
3- Storyline: well... life is hard, like I said always when someone complaint about loosing morrigan hahahahaha I'm sure we all can live after that.
About the free weekend
It seems there were some kind of misunderstanding with steam and they only put the free weekend for the native. Sorry but I think we can't do anything until the next Monday.
1st, Actually, you can only donate to the Priests if your Christian, and you can only donate to Gothi if your Pagan, I've checked, so I'm afraid your suggestion is a no-go. I get that your supposed to pick one of the other, but I don't see why that means we aren't allowed to develop a positive relationship with the other, the game gives us lots of opportunities to make the other religion angry, but no options to earn their respect, or at least resolve hostilities should the develop. Though given the mods current setup, it feels like your not allowed to make one person happy without enraging at least 2 others, which doesn't make sense in my view.
2nd part, your suggestion is again something I've already checked and ruled out. Your restating the part that's already been answered by every forum I've been able to find, but it still doesn't regard my question. Yes, there are 3 traits, including berserker; Alright, berzerker makes the screen red for a bit, but exactly what does the berserker rage enable? shield penetration? damage increase? speed increase? Nobody has said. Same question for the other 2: what buffs do these traits provide? And what are the SPECIFIC requirements to get them?
Same general question for the special traits: Alright, 'make 5 women love you', Does that mean I have to court 5 eligible women to influence level 100? I tried that, but clearly that's not the developers meant because I didn't get the trait. Getting the Dungeon Master trait is clear and easy, but what then, do I get a -5% chance of prisoners escaping or something? And they still haven't given us an idea what other traits there might be, they could at least tell us exactly how many there are.
3rd: About Morrigan: the story ending just doesn't make sense. That little speech at the end of her arc is pretty much "This life isn't for me" Alright, so she doesn't want to adventure anymore, none of the default marriage options in game adventure with you anyways, so why can't we marry her, and she spends the rest of her time as the court minister, like the other female marriage options?
What else is she going to do? Go retire to a little farm somewhere? Alright, but why can't we VISIT her? She's going to start said farm away from Britain/Ireland/Scandinavia? That doesn't make sense, pretty much all of Europe was in shambles during this era, so what's the point going elsewhere, where you probably don't speak the language and still get to witness the very same political machinations your trying to escape? The 'party line' to get rid of Morrigan is borderline nonsensical, that's why I'm complaining.
'Life is hard'? How is that relevant? Of course life is hard, but motives typically make sense, the motive for Morrigan to leave the party after her story arc does not. Of course she wants distance from the trauma, but by staying away from her primary emotional support (the main character/lover)? Did they decide they didn't want to adjust the game code so that a player could marry a companion? That's fine, I don't mind that argument, I'm terrible at coding myself, but it doesn't explain why she MUST disappear completely.
