I notice that sometimes when you get veigar horsemen sometimes they are mounted archer, why no make a mounted archer? like you upgrade from skirmisher to archer or horse archer??

I personally don't like having any archers in my party at all. I just don't think that AI archers are worthwhile, especially since they sometimes TK by accident. Although, horse archers might be better because they could at least move closer toward their targets instead of staying in the back ranks and shooting my charging knights. Then again, they might shoot my men by accident if I let the enemy come to my position instead of attacking.

It would be a nice option, but I don't think it should be random. Either have Vaegir archers upgrade into sharpshooters or horse archers.

Oh, and it's Vaegir.

When you go up against masses of Khergits, you will understand the power of the horse archers, if there are many of them. Even my crossbowmen and sharpshooters have trouble dealing with them.

I used to use all Vaegir Marksman but one day decided I would try out knights.... ythey all died in one fight! Archers ROCK!

I do well enough against Khergits. I just have my men dismount and hold position in a valley while I shoot out the raider's horses with my crossbow or kill them with throwing axes to the head as they pass by. Once they're on foot, they're easy to kill off.

Also, Cleitan, how did you manage to lose all yours knights in one fight? You must have sent them charging into sea raiders waiting in a river or something.
