What were you expecting? Technical limitations in these old games, there are several which have completely new base images (As you've seen) but these ones were the best/worst. (Whichever way you see it) Anyway someone want to guess, despite the title having nothing to do with what has been seen?

Game is called Waxworks and it was on the amiga.
