Veteran needs answers

I have played since 2005, but there are actually a few things i haven't thought about until now.
Does horses get slower if the guy they are carrying has heavier equipment?
And swords that can be used as both 1 and 2 handed, will they get a decreased modifier if used in one hand?

tried it, measured the time it took to cross a battlefield with and without armour. took the same amount of time thus it isnt faster. (i did bump into a rock so i had to do the test over again

The damage modifier applies to 1-handed/2-handed hybrid weapons used in one hand and purely 2-handed weapons (except polearms, I think) being used on horseback....and I thought it was a 35% penalty and not 25%.  Any confirmation on that?

The answer  to the horse encumberance question is "NO".  Horses in native are not affected by weight at all.

The whole advantage of having a horse is totally ignoring your armor weight.

I'm pretty sure the weight of the equipment the rider is using only impacts his/her speed when he is the one responsible for the mobility. I've cheated in super large, super heavy bags of ammunition for everybody, and to my dismay the Khergits came out of unphased and took out all my dreadfully slow crossbowmen and archers.
